Detroit Tigers infielder Alexi Amarista was released, according to Evan Woodbery of MLive. Amarista was fighting for a roster spot for the Tigers, but he only hit .238 in 41 plate appearances this Spring. Woodbery says that the team may be looking at a four-man bench and that it appears to be set. John Hicks, Victor Reyes, Niko Goodrum, and JaCoby Jones should all make the team, per Woodbery.
