Guerrero will work almost exclusively at third base this spring, the Los Angeles Times' Andy McCullough reports.
EDGE Analysis
This doesn't really move the needle in terms of his fantasy value or chances of seeing much playing time this season. Guerrero's defensive struggles are well documented, and his offensive output last season (.233/.261/.434) left a lot to be desired. His approach was particularly awful, as he seemed to be completely selling out for power in every at-bat, walking just three percent of the time. Guerrero can decline an assignment to the minor leagues as part of his contract and if traded, he becomes a free agent after the season (one year before his four-year, $28 million deal would be up), so the Dodgers are in a bit of a bind. Given the team's depth and Guerrero's deficiencies, it would not be surprising if they ended up buying him out. Either way, his fantasy value will be very limited for the foreseeable future.

Guerrero might not make the 25-man roster when the 2016 season rolls around, Steve Dilbeck of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Guerrero briefly appeared to be a breakout star in the early stages of 2015, but a .206/.242/.286 second-half slash line and a lack of natural position left him without a regular role by the end of the season. Now, the Dodgers' build-up of depth in the corners could leave him without a roster spot. The 29-year-old is still owed $10 million over the next two years, but certain clauses in his contract make things much more complicated. He can declare free agency if he is left off the 25-man roster and he can also end his deal after the season if he is traded away from Los Angeles, so moving him would be very tricky. The power he showed in 2016 should give him a role wherever he ends up, but there is plenty of uncertainty surrounding him right now.

Guerrero (leg) made a pinch-hit appearance in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks, smacking a run-scoring double in the 9-5 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Guerrero was removed early from Friday's game with a strained left calf, but his availability off the bench Saturday suggests the injury isn't too serious. Manager Don Mattingly hasn't utilized Guerrero to nearly the extent he did in the first half of the season, but he should be an important bench bat for the Dodgers during the final month.

Guerrero exited Friday's game with a strained left calf, Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers did not provide any other details regarding Guerrero's status, but it is now clear what type of setback he is dealing with. He is not playing much these days to begin with, but it remains to be seen when he will be able to do so again.

Guerrero suffered an apparent leg injury in Friday's game against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Guerrero was injured beating out an infield single in a pinch-hit at-bat -- just his third official at-bat this month -- in the third inning of Friday's game. The extent of his setback is uncertain, but expect an update on his status as more details become available.

Guerrero continues to find himself buried on the Dodgers' bench and has accumulated just three pinch-hit at-bats since August 22.
EDGE Analysis
This despite injuries to Yasiel Puig and Howie Kendrick. The Dodgers went out and got Chase Utley, Justin Ruggiano, and even Chris Heisey to bolster the roster, suggesting that Guerrero will remain nothing more than an afterthought this month. Look for a trade this winter.

Guerrero is out of the lineup Saturday against Milwaukee. Quadriceps tightness kept Andre Ethier out of the lineup Friday, which opened the door for Guerrero to get the start in left field. However, Ethier is back in the lineup Saturday, which will send Guerrero back to the bench as the Dodgers face Taylor Jungmann and the Brewers.

Guerrero was a last minute addition to the Dodgers' lineup Wednesday. He will play left field and bat fifth in the order. Yasiel Puig was a late scratch from Los Angeles' lineup due in part to a callous on his hand, which opened a spot in the order for Guerrero. Andre Ethier is taking Puig's spot in right and Guerrero will take over in left.

Guerrero is not in the lineup Monday against the Cubs, David Vassegh of Dodger Talk reports. Guerrero got the start in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Giants, but he's made only two starts in the last 11 games, serving mostly as a pinch hitter. He'll return to the bench Monday as the Dodgers go with a starting outfield of Yasiel Puig, Joc Pederson and Scott Van Slyke.
