Relief pitcher Al Alburquerque has been released by the Toronto Blue Jays. Alburquerque has yet to pitch at the major league level in 2018, however he pitched to a 3.77 ERA and a 27/8 K/BB ratio with Toronto's minor league system. Alburquerque looked stellar in 2017, pitching to a 2.50 ERA over 27 games with the Royals and White Sox. Perhaps he gets another opportunity at the major league level in 2018. For now, he needs to be left on all waiver wires.
