Loup (personal) was reinstated from the restricted list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Loup sat out the Angels' three-game series in Toronto over the weekend due to his vaccination status, but he'll rejoin the bullpen ahead of Monday's series opener against the Yankees. Over nine appearances since the start of August, he's given up six runs (two earned) while striking out four in 10.1 innings.

Loup (personal) was placed on the restricted list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Loup is apparently unvaccinated, so he won't be able to enter Canada for the three-game series this weekend in Toronto. The left-hander should rejoin the Angles ahead of Monday's series opener against the Yankees.

Loup (0-3) took the loss against Houston on Thursday, allowing an unearned run on one hit in the 10th inning.
EDGE Analysis
Loup came on in the 10th inning and gave up a one-out single to Jeremy Pena that allowed the automatic runner to score, but he got out of the frame without absorbing any additional damage. However, the Angels were unable to respond in the bottom of the frame, saddling the veteran reliever with the tough-luck loss. Loup had a perfect 6-0 record with the Mets last season, but he's dropped all three of his decisions so far in 2022.

Loup earned a hold by striking out the side in a perfect inning against Seattle on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Loup came in to start the seventh inning with the Angels up by three runs. He struck out Jesse Winker, Cal Raleigh and Justin Upton on 16 pitches -- five of which were swinging strikes. Loup struggled over his final four starts in May but has started to turn things around this month, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB across 5.1 innings.

Loup (0-2) took the loss against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits over one inning. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels battled back to tie the game in the eighth inning, and they turned to Loup when the contest went into extra frames. The southpaw immediately served up a double to Vidal Brujan that brought home the designated runner, and Brujan came around to score two batters later on a single by Harold Ramirez. This was a rare poor performance by Loup, who has posted a 1.93 ERA, 0.57 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB while notching six holds over 14 innings on the season.

Loup earned a hold against Cleveland on Thursday, pitching a perfect inning during which he struck out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander came on in the seventh inning and struck out the first two batters he faced before getting Franmil Reyes to fly out to center field. This was Loup's eighth outing in nine appearances without allowing an earned run, and he has yielded only one hit all season. Loup has a 0.93 ERA, 0.31 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB across 9.2 innings on the campaign.

Loup (0-1) was saddled with the loss in a 5-4 defeat at the hands of the Orioles on Saturday, allowing three unearned runs on one hit in two-thirds of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
Loup relieved starter Noah Syndergaard in the sixth and worked out of a two-on two-out jam. Manager Joe Maddon opted to stick with the lefty for the seventh and an error led to three unearned runs crossing the plate and a loss. Despite the hiccup, Loup is yet to allow an earned run through seven innings while permitting just one hit and walk compared to five strikeouts.

Loup signed a two-year, $17 million contract with the Angels on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Loup had a dominant season with the Mets in 2021 and registered 16 holds while posting a 0.95 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 56.2 innings across 65 appearances (two starts). Several of the Angels' late relievers became free agents following the 2021 campaign, so the southpaw is a candidate to serve in a high-leverage role in 2022.

Loup (6-0) got the win in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the Phillies, allowing a hit and a walk with one strikeout in 1.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Loup was brought in to record the final out of the seventh and induced a groundout after walking Bryce Harper to load the bases. New York took the lead in the bottom of the inning and Loup stayed in to pitch a scoreless eighth. The successful outing lowered the 33-year-old's ERA to an even 1.00 and he's yet to allow a run in nine September innings.

Loup (5-0) walked one and struck out none in a scoreless inning to earn the win Sunday versus Washington.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw kept the game tied at 6-6 in the seventh inning, and the Mets put him in line for a win by going ahead in the top of the eighth. Since the start of July, Loup has been nearly untouchable, as he's allowed just two runs on 11 hits, 10 walks and three hit batters while striking out 20 in 24 innings. He's pitched to a microscopic 1.13 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with a 49:13 K:BB and 14 holds through 47.2 innings this year.
