Bell went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Facing one of his former clubs, Bell racked up his second straight three-hit performance. The 31-year-old first baseman has been on a tear to close out May, slashing .340/.358/.500 over the last 12 games with five doubles, a homer and eight RBI. Bell's .689 OPS on the season is still below his usual level of production -- his lowest mark over a full campaign is .744, set last year -- but he's quickly closing the gap.

Bell went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 10-9 victory over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Bell had two singles -- including one that drove in a run -- when he strolled to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning to face Edwin Diaz as the tying run. He then swatted one 428 feet for a three-run home run to knot things up before the Marlins eventually won in the 10th. Bell's home run -- which was his sixth of the season -- was measured at 107.9 mph off the bat. The first baseman is 10-for-25 with two long balls over his last six tilts.

Bell went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, two walks and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-6 extra-win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Bell was able to take Zack Wheeler deep for a three-run shot in the bottom of the third inning, giving the Marlins a 4-3 lead. The long ball was his fifth of the season and second of the month. The first baseman has produced a .270 average with two home runs, eight RBI and three runs scored over 37 at-bats in 11 games in May.

Bell went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's extra-inning win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The first baseman lofted a Peter Lambert curveball over the right-field fence in the third inning, tying the game at 3-3. Bell has struggled out of the gate this season, slashing .185/.273/.306 through 33 contests with four homers, 11 RBI and 16 runs, but the streaky slugger may be heating up -- he went 4-for-12 in the three-game sweep of Colorado.

Fri 4/5/24 10:58 AM

Bell went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Thursday's 8-5 loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Bell put the Marlins ahead 3-1 in the fifth inning with a two-run shot off Lance Lynn, his first homer of the season. The 31-year-old Bell entered the day with just one RBI through his first seven games. He's now 7-for-31 to start the campaign after slashing .247/.325/.419 with 22 home runs and 74 RBI in 150 games between Miami and Cleveland last year.

Bell went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran first baseman hasn't made a lot of contact this spring, but when he has it's been loud. Bell is batting .200 (5-for-25) through 10 games with a 2:6 BB:K, but four of the hits have gone for extra bases with three doubles and a homer. After posting a .270/.338/.480 slash line over 53 contests for the Marlins in 2023 following a trade from the Guardians, Bell will try to do enough to establish a long-term spot in the Miami lineup -- since leaving the Pirates after the 2020 campaign, he's played for four different teams over the last three seasons.

Bell exercised his $16.5 million player option for 2024 on Saturday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bell began the season with the Guardians and struggled but thrived after arriving in Miami at the trade deadline, batting .270/.338/.480 with 11 home runs over 53 games for the Marlins down the stretch. The 31-year-old currently projects as the team's starting first baseman for 2024, although the Marlins could shift Bell to the designated hitter role if they find someone else to handle first.

Bell went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Phillies in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series.
EDGE Analysis
Bell has been known to do damage against the Phillies in the regular season, slashing .357/.455/.536 in eight games with one home run, three runs and four RBI. He continued that trend into the postseason Tuesday with his two doubles, one against Zack Wheeler in the seventh that would allow him to score the only run for the Marlins, and one against Craig Kimbrel in the ninth where he would be left stranded in the loss.

Bell went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-1 victory over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Bell popped a 379-foot homer off Freddy Peralta in the third inning for his 22nd of the year. He has enjoyed a nice turnaround since joining the Marlins from the Guardians at the trade deadline, hitting .276 with 11 home runs, 26 runs and 21 RBI over 48 games. Bell had previously hit .233 with 11 home runs, 26 runs and 48 RBI over 97 games in Cleveland.

Bell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a double in a loss to the Mets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Bell accounted for half of Miami's scoring output with his 417-foot solo shot in the sixth inning. The veteran slugger had gone 14 games without a long ball prior to the blast, slashing .216/.273/.255 with a 30.9 percent strikeout rate over the cold stretch. He's slowed down quite a bit after slamming eight home runs over his first 26 contests as a Marlin.
