i gave you my thoughts just like you asked people to do. now if you dont like it then why did you put the post up to start with. it looks like you have already made your mind up to keep it. everybody has their own opinion.... if thats what you want and all owners like it then thats great.
My thinking is that lets say you have a 10 team league and there are maybe 12 upper tier players available then - in fact - the teams picking last gain the advantage because they get 2 upper tier players
i would prefer a snake from start to the end. the lowest ranked tean is already getting the 1st overall. then he bumps back to back on the 2nd and 3rd rd. i believe your punishing the higher teams because the owners are playing smart all year and not rolling over.
1st pick in a snake draft would get the #1, #24, and #25
12th pick in a snake draft would get #12, #13, and then #36
In a non snake draft -
1st pick would get #1, #13 and #25
12th pick would get #12, #24, and #36
IMO A snake draft ensures that it is a competitive league regardless of where you are picking - There is a price to pay for having the #1 pick and having to wait for the 2nd and 3rd is that price, I would not want to be picking 12 in your draft - b/c it looks tough to field a good team that way - Again IMO -
DO what you want - Having a competitive league is what it is all about -

In my leagues I have made all keeper leagues non-snaking for the first three rounds as I feel this benefits the lowest ranked teams.
However I have noticed that nobody else seems to do this.
What are you thoughts?

I merely asked you a question - why so defensive?

you think that picking first and then waiting until every else has picked twice is an advantage?

Assuming a league of 12:
1st pick in a snake draft would get the #1, #24, and #25
12th pick in a snake draft would get #12, #13, and then #36
In a non snake draft -
1st pick would get #1, #13 and #25
12th pick would get #12, #24, and #36
