Does the order of the auction draft really matter? Obviously order matters during traditional snake drafts. Do people typically draw cards for auction draft order as well, or have a website randomize the order, or just go in the order people are seated or?

in my league we "bring up" in reverse order to last years final standings (last place brings up first, first place last and then snake back and forth) this is important so that owners can bring up players to get other owners out of points or if they just want someone at that time.

This is a keeper league??What about when its a redraft or a league that just started they still set an order??Just wondering..

every league needs a bring up order or you get someone that dominates the bringups and that person can set the tone for the draft to his favor. If everyone gets a turn then that eliminates that issue and everyone has an equal chance to use the strategy that they think works for them. When we started the keeper/auction league we converted from a traditional straight draft league and used the final standings from the year before to decide bringups since that is not possible for you I would suggest that before the draft you draw straws or roll dice (something) to set a bringup order. Good luck once you do an auction you wont want to play in traditional draft league again.

It is key to have a set draft order. Many times an owner will put a guy on the block that he does not want in order to move through some funds from other teams. No need to use a snake draft.

Every one bids so it just takes some one to start of the biding on each player.
