An owner in a keeper league can choose to keep any number of players up to the allowable maximum. There is no penalty for keeping a player. You do not lose a draft pick. If you choose not to keep the maximum allowable number of players, you will be awarded an extra draft pick at the end of the draft. All players not designated as keepers by the start of the draft will be released as free agents that are eligible for drafting.
Is there anyway to customize this? For example, if I am keeping my 3rd round pick from last year, I have to forfeit my 2nd rounder for this year? And that all first round picks are lost due to no hierarchy?
Your rules seem to be a bit conflicting but you can take draft picks away by going to Commish Options>Edit Draft Order>Edit Draft Order Manually Round by Round>Hit [DELETE PICK]>Save
Let me know if there's anything else we can help you with.
To clarify the rules (because this is a common structure), the keepers you pick are associated with the round in which they were drafted. By keeping a better player, the user forfeits the pick of the earlier round in the draft (i.e. keeping a 3, users forfeits a 2). Logically, you cannot keep a first rounder because there is no earlier round & they are dumped into the pool. It promotes strategic picks are prevents squatting. Many leagues offer it.
Right, we use it in a bunch of our leagues, but it does require manual work here on the system's end. There's nothing automated to incorporate that system right now, sorry.
Cool cool -- I think I am just going to do that as well. We like the flealciker platform much more than that rest of the FF sites, so a little manual work is cool with us.
So if I have to do it manually, does my league keep track of who was drafted where so when I look next year its easy to adjust or do I need to somehow keep track?

Why is it that when you do not select a keeper you have extra picks at the end of the draft not the beginning??
IMO you start out with a larger disadvantage than before.
Normally I choose no keepers because i want first dibs on the players available, the players that no other owners kept.

Nah - it is cool. Too much manual work.

Thanks for your helps.
