You say that the NFL tiebreaker rules are being followed, but you are not doing this.

I've looked in the rules for numerous leagues, under the PLAYOFF TIEBREAKER.

When the first tie breaker is Best Head to Head record (which is consistent with the NFL), in Flealflicker, if you hold the cursor over the words "Best head to head record", a bubble pops up that says "For ties of 3+ teams, this is applicable only if one team has defeated each of the others or if one team has lost to each of the others". Go try it and see!!

WHY ARE YOU REQUIRING A SWEEP INSTEAD OF HEAD TO HEAD??

That is NOT how the NFL applies best head to head record! A sweep is NOT necessary as the first tie breaker and shouldn't be either. If 4 teams tie with the same record, and two teams are both 2-1 and two teams are 1-2 vs the other 3 they're tied with....those 2-1 teams have the best head to head record. THAT is how the NFL tiebreaker would work. They don't require one team to sweep with a 3-0 record!!

Why does FF call it Best Head to Head record....when in fact you are actually LOOKING TO SEE IF A SWEEP OCCURS???

You need to fix this NOW and admit your error. It is screwing up playoffs this week! (See Riding Club league for one)

Five months of fantasy to see it wasted on a league that is too stubborn to realize/admit its error??

dude..you are polluting the message board. EMAIL them or use your ONE thread.

everyone and their mothers know why you need a sweep.... BECAUSE it's HEAD TO HEAD TIEBREAKER. Everyone lost to SOMEONE ELSE that's involved in the tiebreaker....COMMON SENSE

Team A beat B who beat C who beat D who beat A......

You can't allow ANYONE in because someone else beat them head to head (WHICH IS THE TIEBREAKER

Mich...you clearly don't know how to interpret rules. With a 4 team tie, there are 6 (SIX) games between those 4 teams during the regular season. It's not simply "Team A beat B who beat C who beat D who beat A". Get out your crayons and paper to see. Team A doesn't just play team B, but also played C and D; B also played C and D; and then C played D. COMMON SENSE! So there are numerous resulting combinations of those 6 games, one of which could be a sweep. But the head to head tiebreaker among the four teams does not necessitate a sweep!

See NFL tiebreaker rule #1: "Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied PERCENTAGE in games among the clubs." The key word is PERCENTAGE. So in our case, two teams are both 2-1 (.666) during the reg season vs the three tied teams; and two teams are 1-2 (.333). So clearly, the two teams at 2-1 (.666) have the BEST PERCENTAGE and should come out on top in using the NFL tiebreaker!

Now go move your cursor on the rules page in FF as I described above, where you'll see the pop-up from FF and you'll see that FF only uses head to head tie-breaker if one team sweeps. With a 4 way tie, they still require one team to have a sweep! THAT IS INSANE! That is incorrect with what the NFL uses and what common sense would tell you. Head to head DOES NOT necessarily equate to a sweep!

Now do you understand?? :-)

Hopefully some others will read this and demand that FF fix this problem immediately!

Holy crap you are a moron.

You can't do the SAME tiebreaker for TWO spots.

You break up the 4 teams to do the first tiebreaker (which was points)

then you break up the other 3 to get the 6th seed (which was head to head)

It's NOT winning percentage because then some team could claim they beat the other team head to head. If I am 1-2 but I BEAT YOU, there's NO WAY I'm letting you get in the playoff if you were 2-1 and we were BOTH tied with two other teams

GET IT?

stop being stuck in NFL WORLD....This isn't NFL, this is fantasy football. If you wanted it to be like NFL, GET SOME GD Divisions in your leagues.

You're pretty immature but you probably know that already.

1. First of all, FF does follow the NFL tiebreaker rules. Got it?

2. And the way multi team ties are broken is as follows:

"Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-club format". So you break the tie between the 4 teams to get the first team; if another tiebreaker is needed you revert back to step one per above. The multi team breaker IS head to head between the 4 teams in totality, not some juvenile tit for tat I beat you once squabble.

Now go away.

and if you are the commish of your league, just change it how you want it and YOU go away.

or how about this..change your league to mimic NFL before you start bitching about nfl tiebreakers.
