So our league has a 25 player roster +2 IR spots. This is the first year for the league.
Now that players are getting injured in the preseason, the question that has come up is "when can I move a player to the IR spot and pick up a new player?" I'm trying to look into when NFL teams first start designating players for IR and it is confusing. It seems that players that start training camp, then get hurt before the season start on the PUP. Then there is IR and IR-designated to return. So I'm assuming players aren't listed by teams until final cuts to the 53 man roster. Is that when my league members can move players to the IR spot? Do PUP, IR, IR-DTR all qualify for this?
So keeping this really straight forward:
1. When are members in my league able to place an injured player into their IR spot?
2. Do IR and PUP players qualify for this move?
3. At the end of the season, do injured players have to be moved back onto the 25 man rosters for my league?
Thanks so much.

Your league settings say a player needs to be on IR only...
To see if he is eligible the hover your mouse over the "Q", "pup" or what ever is to the left of the players name and it will tell you if the player can be put on the IR or not.
IR is the only designation the league has for it.Keeping it simple and strict as possible
These rules are specific to your league and how the commissioner sets it up.
1. Players can be put on IR any time they meet the minimum settings per your league. If you click the IR on your team page or in rules, you’ll see the settings.
2. Same answer as #1
3. If your commissioner allows them to stay there, they can. They will count against your keeper limit as well.
Thanks, I am them commish and was able to change the eligibility for the IR slot. I had to click on the IR position under roster setting and make the minimum eligibility PUP. That allowed all players with PUP, IR-D or IR to be eligible. Appreciate the feedback.
