With the release of our new design, we are completely phasing out the native iPhone (iOS) app. We now have a brand new mobile interface with all site options.

On your mobile device or tablet, just visit fleaflicker.com. You can even add an icon to your home screen.

As always, we want to hear your feedback. Please e-mail us directly at fleaflicker.com if you have any concerns and we'll help you get started.

Draft room will not load on my tablet, when will I be able to draft from my Android tablet?

FleaMod Admin Thu 8/7/14 5:06 PM

We currently don't support mobile drafting, but hope to very soon. We will keep you updated on the Site Announcement page when it is ready in the near future. Thank you.

Can you give a ballpark estimate? Are we talking days, weeks, months?

ModiinMonsters Thu 8/21/14 11:39 AM

Hey. The mock draft works on my iphone. Need to tell everyone

FleaMod Admin Thu 8/21/14 12:30 PM

We did on Twitter, on our Site Announcement Page, through each Draft room's page when we were deploying and posted it on our Help & Support page too. You can access it here still:

Will we able to draft with our iphone this coming year?

FleaMod Admin Mon 5/5/14 5:47 PM

It is something we are working on every day and hopeful to have implemented soon.

We'll keep you updated on the progress of it on our Site Announcements page with a new topic when it is ready.

We are making progress in testing, but can't provide a timetable; however, it is a top priority and we understand its importance.

Will you be able to draft via your iPhone this year?

westhemess2 Sat 7/13/13 7:59 PM

I would rather have an app.

What specifically do you like about having an app? We tried to make the mobile website better than the app in every way--more features, most stable, etc.

westhemess2 Thu 7/18/13 9:16 AM

i appreciate your reply. I do like the mobile site but I have been out and about with limited connection and it takes forever. The app seemed to work faster in every situation. I do agree that the site is better than the app, but was hoping for it to be an app. I am a strong believer in FF and have been around since 06. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the site.

You are correct, it's difficult to beat native apps when it comes to raw speed.

We went with a single, unified mobile-, tablet-, and desktop-optimized version of the site so that we could release new features faster. When you have separate native apps for each platform (iOS, Android, etc) it makes new development much slower--every new feature has to be implemented multiple times. In the long-run, this approach will allow us to best serve all our users and keep adding new features.

To address the speed concerns, we introduced a paid, ad-free service recently that makes the mobile site (and desktop and tablet sites) significantly faster. I wish we could have offered it for free but we need to cover our hosting and sports data licensing fees.

Just saw this - I agree that the site re-design to device-neutral is the way to go. Thanks for doing it this way.

This is just my experience after a few years of having the convenience of a native app on my iphone. The features are all there, but it's just inconvenient enough (having to log in every time, layout requires a lot of scrolling, and the icons at the top aren't meaningful enough to help me navigate) that I simply don't use the mobile site on my iphone anymore.

Previously, I used the app daily to look up player news in a compact, concise format. On Sundays, I could quickly look up league scores as well as NFL scores (as well as the fantasy points coming out of each game). The new mobile site has that information, but it's much more difficult to navigate and the layout is nowhere near as clean as the old app.

I use other sites to get my information now, and I log into fleaflicker only from a computer. I'm not threatening to leave or anything like that (Yahoo's site and iphone app are really messy as well), but it is a little disheartening to have that functionality taken away.
