We plan on having a 4 round draft with a 28 player roster. Currently I have 22 players on my roster + 6 picks in the first 4 rounds which amounts to my 28 players. For some reason after a recent trade of Kendall Wright and my pick 2.7 for Torrey Smith and his 3.7 I still have the correct number of players and picks in the 4 rounds to be at 28 but fleaflicker shows me with an extra 5th round pick? This would be 29 players.

I tried to change the roster max to 29 and back to 28 to see if this would fix the issue but it did not.

Here is the league link: fleaflicker.com

and the trade: fleaflicker.com

We also just had a free agency period which ended this morning after waivers processed and I set our league to "These are complete rosters but still draft this season". However I'm *pretty sure* I had the correct 4 rounds worth of picks until I made this trade shortly after.

You don't have Torrey Smith selected as a keeper. If you select Torrey Smith as a keeper at Team>Settings>Set My Keepers, it would show your roster size as 22 and then give you one less draft pick. Fleaflicker bases the draft picks on keepers and how many extra slots you need to fill the roster out.

ohhh okay, that makes sense, thank you.

Well I guess related to that - We've already cleared non-keepers and added more players through free agency. There are two teams with just one pick in the draft. If they have 27 players on their roster, all 27 need to be set as keepers in order for their picks in rounds 5-9 to go away?

The draft picks are determined based on how many roster slots need to be filled. If they have 27 players on their roster are none are set as keepers, they'll have 27 picks. If they have 26 set as keepers, they'll have 1 pick, etc.

Cool, thank you!

So you can finalize rosters by selecting "These are complete rosters but still draft this season" and open up free agency?

Does this keep rookies out of the pool until after the NFL draft?

I want to open up free agency, but want to limit adds to non-rookies only.

Thanks!

Just the opposite. To open free agency, select Edit Rosters->These are the complete rosters (you won't be able to trade 2015 draft picks if you do this, but it opens free agency -- you can't do both simultaneously).

Rookies are only added after they're drafted/signed by an NFL team, so they won't be available until draft weekend anyway. Rookies will join the players pool then. No way to separate them.

To end up drafting for the year, go to Edit Rosters->These are the complete rosters but still draft this season, when you are ready to hold your draft for 2015.
