Beside the rookie draft, is there a preferred way for teams in my league to upgrade their roster for 2015 by picking up players who have been cast off by other teams in the league? Throughout 2014 none of the trades attempted actually went through, so that doesn't seem to be an option. Also, do players with expiring contracts in the real world become free agents in Fleaflicker leagues?

Any way to select keepers for the teams without owners? I see the team I own-- by accident-- allows me to select keepers ahead of the draft, but the non-owner teams don't have that option available under settings. I've tried issuing an invitation to my own e-mail address, so I can take ownership of the entire league. However, once I click the email link and go to my league on your site there's no clear way to establish ownership of the team issuing the invite. Not sure what to here.

You can select keepers for teams without owners. Go to Edit Rosters>These are the keepers only (for all teams). The downside to this is that it will select keepers for every single team in your league (so if a team with an active owner has not set them yet, it will set the keepers for them). You'll want to make sure all the keepers are set for the active teams and then do this, or else it will set keepers for teams that are under the roster limit maximum and may not want their keepers set. After you do this, go to Edit Rosters>These are the complete rosters but still draft this season before your draft in your case.

Also, if you want, like you did above create different e-mail addresses to control the other teams and have them as separate log-in names. You can't use more than one e-mail address for different users as your e-mail address serves as your log-in name for the site and it's associated with specific teams you own under that e-mail. That's why it was not allowing you.

Even though I have selected the limit of 10 keepers on the team I own, the software is telling me I have 15 keepers when I Go to Edit Rosters>These are the Keepers Only (for all teams). I doubled checked the keepers list for this team and confirmed I have the maximum of 10 keepers selected, but I get the same result when clicking on the save button after Go to Edit Rosters>These are the Keepers Only (for all teams). I even tried deleting the non-keepers from the roster but get the same error/fix message.

Okay. This is frustrating. I just noticed that all the players on the roster of the sole team I own in my 22 team league (the others are unowned) has every player on the roster red tagged to be cut after following the instructions you gave for setting keepers before the draft.

All I'm trying to do here is clear out the unwanted players from each team and give them a chance to upgrade the roster through the draft, since I don't seem able to trade players between any teams-- owned or unowned.

Doesn't seem that's possible, so I'm stuck with leaving the rosters exactly as they were last season or starting from scratch with each team-- not very realistic.

The issue is that the other teams have 15 players on their roster (and so do you) and they are not owned by an actual user but yours.

You would have to manually remove players on their teams from Edit Rosters so every single team is down to 10 -- if any team has above 10 players, you'll receive that message. You would have to cut players on your team as well.

After removing players from Edit Rosters to get every team down to 10 and cutting yours and when all teams have 10 players on the roster (no more or else you'll receive an error message), go to Edit Rosters>These are the Keepers Only (for all teams). Since all the other teams just have 10 players and so do yours, it will automatically set them as keepers. Then you can go ahead and select Edit Rosters->These are the complete rosters but still draft this season.

You would have to manually trim every single team down to 10 and yours down to 10 before going to Edit Rosters>These are the Keepers Only (for all teams). This can be tricky even when the teams are owned by users. Since yours are not, it may even be trickier.

I run the league on my own for fun-- no owners. In 2014 I just allowed the teams to be created with the automated draft picks. I then monitored the teams and made roster moves as needed to give each team the best possible starting line up each week. On occasion-- as the commissioner-- I attempted to make trades for teams, but the trades never went through. Still learning your system, so I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong in the trade process or not.

You can make trades for them unconventionally by using the Edit Rosters page. That would be your best bet there if they aren't owned teams.

You can open up free agency at Edit Rosters->These are the complete rosters. To draft when you're ready, you can go to Edit Rosters->These are the complete rosters but still draft this season.

In terms of last year's trades, I'm not sure what you mean that they didn't go through? It looks like you need owners to take over those teams in the league.

Thanks.
