Our league is a dynasty league which keeps 30 players each year, then increase rosters to 40 for our draft (so a 10 round draft) then cuts the rosters back down to 30 for the start of the season.

A few questions on how to make this work:

As commisioner, what steps do I need to do to make this happen? Do I just increase rosters to 40 when the 2015 season starts?

Do we need to select keepers or will they be automatically kept?

Regarding the draft, if a team has more than 10 draft picks to they just lose their last draft picks?

If a team has less than 10 draft picks do they fill out their rosters with picks at the end of the draft?

Thank you in advance for clarifying!

You can just increase the roster size to 40, yes. Before your draft, ensure each team has 30 keepers selected -- this is not automatic, the teams will have to select their keepers. You'll draft 10 players and if a team has more players, they'll just lose their draft picks at the end, yes. If they have less than 10, they'll receive more picks at the end of the draft to fill the rosters out, yes.

Thanks!

Thank you for the information!

2 more questions:

-Do keepers need to be selected after the season rolls to 2015, or now? I am not seeing an option to do this right now.

-If a team has 30 players and 2 players on IR, do they get the option to keep the IR players as well, but only hold onto 30?

Keepers can be selected any time before you hold your draft for next season - not now or in 2014. You can select them any time at Team>Settings>Set My Keepers...

However, your future draft picks will reflect how many keepers the team has selected for that year. So if you have a 30-team roster and they have 0 keepers at that current time, they'll show 30 picks. If they have 30 keepers at that time selected, they'll show 0 picks. But they only need to be selected prior to your draft time.

They can keep the IR players, yes, but only hold on to the 30 into the draft.
