I want to play a drop league where owners are forced to pick up new players each week. If the teams are locked and then players are dropped by the commissioner how exactly will that affect the team throughout the week's match-up in a weekly points league?

There's no direct way to do this and it's not directly supported but there are workarounds we can try and help you with.

I see you're only in a basketball league.

If it's a weekly league, the players will lock after the game starts for the week.

If you want, you can turn waivers off and then the teams can pick up the players you drop from the Edit Rosters feature.

You can also play in a daily league if you wish.

We prefer a weekly league where you can log in one day and get most of it done and the dropping of players each week adds a different element. I understand that there is no direct way to do this. Its something we have to do with work-arounds. I have just never played fleaflicker before and am unsure how the dropping of a player affects a team that has a roster already locked for the week.

For example: Teams have been locked for the week on monday. As commissioner I go in and drop 2 players from each team on tuesday. Will those 2 players from each team play out the week on their respective teams until the rosters are unlocked again or will they disappear the moment I drop them leaving empties?

BTW: I really like the custom rules you guys have on here. Things like turnovers for PG's and C's are not apples to apples. This is why I am making the switch.

Thanks for the kind words. Good questions, a bit tricky.

Ultimately, it depends what lineup locking feature you have on.

Players lock for the week after 3 AM Eastern following their game and will stick on their rosters for the entire week then.

In your example, if you do that past Tuesday at 3AM and the fantasy week starts on Monday and the NBA team played, they will lock. If the NBA team hasn't played and you lock lineups individually, that player won't stick on a roster since their week hasn't kicked off with a game and the slot will be empty if you remove them.

If you lock lineups on the first game of the week, every player on every team locks on every roster the next fantasy day (Tuesday on a regular Monday start week) at 3AM ET.

If you lock players at their select game time, they will only lock the next fantasy day on the roster at 3AM following their game if they played.

Thank you kind sir

I just came across another question.

If I have separate rules for PG's and SG's how does fleaflicker determine what a player's score should be if they are listed as a PG/SG?

The first rule in the sequence will apply. So if you have 2 points for every 1 assist for PG and 4 points for every 1 assist for a SG, and the player is listed as a G, it is the first rule listed in your scoring rules; so if 2 points for every 1 is listed first, that's what they would receive. Again, it's a limitation of the system and you're unable to really tweak them and move them around to your liking.
