Brady relayed on his Let's Go podcast on SiriusXM on Monday that he hasn't made a decision on his future, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports. "I'm still going through the process I said I was going through," Brady said. "When the time is right, I'll be ready to make a decision one way or the other."
EDGE Analysis
On Saturday, Jeff Darlington and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Brady was poised to retire after 22 seasons, but his agent Don Yee later noted in a statement that the quarterback had yet to reach such a conclusion. Members of the Buccaneers, including GM Jason Light and coach Bruce Arians, later backed up Yee, per Michael Silver of Bally Sports. Brady's own comments Monday are consistent with that line of thinking, with no determination imminent on his playing status.

Brady's agent, Don Yee, said in a statement Saturday that his client hasn't yet formally decided to retire from the NFL, Adam Schefter of ESPN report.
EDGE Analysis
Meanwhile, Michael Silver of Bally Sports reports that the veteran quarterback has not informed general manager Jason Licht or head coach Bruce Arians about his decision to retire, though the matter seems likely a formality after Schefter and Jeff Darlington of ESPN reported earlier Saturday that Brady was bringing an end to a Hall of Fame career. Considering Brady's own company posted on its Twitter account a career achievement rundown in celebration of the seven-time Super Bowl winner -- which has since been deleted -- it would be a surprise if the 44-year-old elected to play in 2022. Expect more news to eventually come from Brady's camp in the coming days.

Brady plans to announce his retirement Saturday from the NFL, Jeff Darlington and Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The greatest quarterback of all time will officially end his career after 22 seasons. The seven-time Super Bowl champion led the NFL in completions, passing yards and passing touchdowns in 2021, but after the Buccaneers' divisional-round loss to the Rams last weekend, various reports pointed in the direction of the five-time Super Bowl MVP likely calling it a career. The three-time league MVP will leave the game as the NFL's all-time leader passing touchdowns (624), passing yards (85,520), career wins (243) and Pro Bowl selections (15).

Brady isn't likely to make his way to a new team this offseason, instead deciding between retirement and another year with the Buccaneers, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brady is 44 and at one point went on record saying he'd like to play until he's at least 45, but a number of recent reports suggest he's considering retirement over a third year with Tampa. He's technically signed through 2022 on a deal that pays him well below his open-market value even after incentives are added, though it doesn't seem compensation will be a sticking point this offseason, as Brady could've earned more when he left New England if that had been his goal. While the Bucs surely prefer he makes a decision sooner than later, Brady's status and importance to the team should afford him time to decide. He'll likely take at least a few weeks to mull things over in the aftermath of a dramatic loss to the Rams in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs.

Brady completed 30 of 54 passes for 329 yards with a touchdown and an interception during the Buccaneers' 30-27 loss to the Rams in their NFC divisional-round matchup Sunday. He also rushed once for no gain and lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Taking the field hours after some sudden rumblings about his future surfaced, Brady didn't exactly put together a convincing body of work in a first half during which the Buccaneers punted on three possessions and ended two others with a missed field goal and an interception. The offense largely remained stuck in the mud for a good chunk of the second half as well, but Brady and his teammates gave the Tampa faithful one final thrill in the team's title-defense season when he connected on a 55-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans with 3:20 remaining to bring the Bucs within a touchdown and then led a seven-play drive following a Cam Akers fumble that culminated in a Leonard Fournette game-tying nine-yard touchdown run. Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp would go on to crush the Buccaneers' hopes on the Rams' ensuing game-winning drive, but Brady finished with a strong stat line for fantasy purposes after looking like he'd seriously underwhelm from that perspective for much of the afternoon. The focus will now undoubtedly turn to the Hall of Famer's future, which may take some time to become clearer following the abrupt end to a quest for a second straight Super Bowl title.

Brady plans to take time after Tampa Bay's postseason run concludes before deciding whether he'll return for a 23rd NFL season in 2022 or retire, Jeff Darlington and Adam Schefter of ESPN.com report.
EDGE Analysis
Brady, 44, has previously spoken of his goal being to play through his age-45 season, but the possibility of his departure following the season is a topic that has started to gain traction within the Tampa Bay organization over the past three weeks, according to the report. Despite playing at a high level in 2021 -- he started all 17 regular-season contests and completed 67.5 percent of his throws for 7.4 yards per attempt and a 43:12 TD:INT ratio -- the seven-time Super Bowl champion wants to take a month or longer after the playoffs to assess how he feels physically and mentally while also gauging his family's desires. After a dominant win over the Eagles in the wild-card round, Brady and the Buccaneers will host the Rams in the divisional round Sunday.

Brady completed 29 of 37 passes for 271 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions during the Buccaneers' 31-15 win over the Eagles in an NFC wild-card matchup Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Brady and the Bucs ended up enjoying a tune-up game in the opening salvo of their postseason, with Tampa Bay jumping out to a 31-0 lead relatively early in the second half to essentially remove any doubt as to the outcome. Brady was even more efficient than usual, averaging 7.3 yards per attempt in a mistake-free performance and navigating four sacks. The future Hall of Famer unsurprisingly focused on Mike Evans the most when taking to the air to the tune of nine completions, 117 yards and a touchdown, but he also leveraged the presence of Giovani Bernard and Rob Gronkowski on 10 additional occasions for the bulk of the rest of his production. Brady and teammates now await their divisional-round opponent, with Tampa Bay set to take on either the Rams or Cardinals at Raymond James Stadium next weekend.

Brady completed 29 of 37 passes for 326 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Buccaneers' 41-17 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Working with a particularly short-handed receiving corps, Brady still found a way to generate a very fantasy-friendly effort, tossing a touchdown pass to Le'Veon Bell and two to Mike Evans. The future Hall of Famer finished the regular season with a career-high 5,316 passing yards across 17 games, an astounding figure he complemented with a 43:12 TD:INT. While he was able to get by in fine fashion with a makeshift pass-catching corps against a Panthers secondary missing Stephon Gilmore (reserve/COVID-19) on Sunday, it remains to be seen how Brady and the air attack will stack up against a much higher caliber of competition in the upcoming postseason.

Brady completed 34 of 50 passes for 410 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in the Buccaneers' 28-24 win over the Jets on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
While it had to have been the diametric opposite of how the Buccaneers planned to start the new calendar year, the defending champions were able to persevere through an unexpectedly difficult game replete with adverse circumstances thanks in large part to Brady's coolness and effectiveness when it mattered most. Down by four points after an afternoon full of uneven offensive play, the future Hall of Famer helmed a memorable nine-play, 93-yard drive that began just before the two-minute warning and which he capped off with a game-winning 33-yard touchdown pass to Cyril Grayson. Earlier in the second half, Brady had lost a key pass catcher when Antonio Brown opted to leave the field due to some sort of sideline dispute and never returned, and he also had to deal with a feisty Jets secondary that was able to keep him and his receiving corps off balance for long stretches of the contest. Brady's yardage total actually was only his third highest of the season, as he'd already put together another pair of 400-yard efforts over the first five games. Brady's steady and talented hand undoubtedly will be key in pushing the Buccaneers forward past the Brown controversy and into a Week 18 finale against the Panthers before the postseason begins.

Brady completed 18 of 30 passes for 232 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the Buccaneers' 32-6 win over the Panthers on Sunday. He also rushed once for 11 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Considering he was playing without Mike Evans (hamstring), Chris Godwin (IR/knee) and pass-catching back extraordinaire Leonard Fournette (hamstring), Brady cobbled together a solid, albeit modest, performance. The future Hall of Famer unsurprisingly bestowed an avalanche of attention on Antonio Brown, who brought in 10 of 15 Brady attempts for 101 yards. Brady could have Evans back in the fold for a Week 17 road trip to the Big Apple to face the Jets, which would give him a very good chance of boosting his production against what has been a vulnerable secondary for the majority of the season.
