Parker has elected to retire, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parker last pitched in the big leagues back in 2013. Since then, he has missed time recovering from his second Tommy John surgery and a broken bone in his elbow. The 29-year-old will retire with a 25-16 record and a 3.68 ERA in 62 career starts.

Parker elected free agency after being outrighted in October of 2016.
EDGE Analysis
He has had a history of arm issues, and most recently had surgery to reconstruct his flexor tendon and UCL complex in April of 2016.

Parker (elbow) was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville of Friday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
In a series of procedural moves, Oakland sent three pitchers on the 60-day DL down to the minors Friday. Parker missed all of 2016 after undergoing surgery in April to repair his flexor tendon and UCL complex, but he'll now head into the offseason with his sights set on being ready by the start of spring training. The 28-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2013 though, so it's no guarantee he'll make it back to the big leagues right away even if he's healthy.

Parker (elbow) successfully underwent surgery Wednesday to reconstruct his flexor tendon and UCL complex, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Parker fractured his elbow earlier in the month, but the problem has reportedly been fixed. Now, as Parker has experienced multiple times before, the right-hander will have to go through a lengthy rehab process in order to be ready to pitch again. He'll return to Arizona on Saturday, after which we could see a better timetable for his return.

Parker (elbow) will go through a full rehab process in hopes of pitching again, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
No one could have faulted Parker had he decided to hang up the cleats after years of arm injuries and another lengthy rehab process on tap, but he will attempt to make another comeback. He will undergo elbow surgery Apr. 1, after which the A's figure to release a timetable for his recovery.

Parker (elbow) will undergo surgery on April 1, Carl Steward of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Athletics have not released any information regarding the surgery yet, but it's looking more and more likely that Parker could miss most, or all, of the 2016 campaign after sustaining a fracture to his throwing elbow last week.

Parker (elbow) will see Dr. Neil El Attrache about his elbow Tuesday in L.A. for a C.T. scan and checkup, John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
His visit to the doctor should shed some more light on the severity of the fracture and likelihood of his return this season. However, given the fact that the injury is in the same elbow that forced him to miss the majority of the 2015 season, it seems likely that he will miss most, if not all, of the 2016 season.

The Athletics placed Parker (elbow) on the 60-day DL on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Parker sustained another fracture of the medial epicondyle in his right elbow this past week during a throwing session, which may have ended his season before it even started. The move to the 60-day disabled list opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for fellow reliever Andrew Triggs, who was claimed off waivers.

An MRI showed that Parker has re-fractured the medial epicondyle in his right elbow, reports John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle.
EDGE Analysis
Really sad news for Parker in his attempted comeback. He is likely lost for the season and the question of whether he is every able to pitch again in the majors has to be asked now after two Tommy John surgeries and two right elbow fractures.

Parker (elbow) has a lateral elbow impingement that caused him to cut his throwing session short Thursday, reports Jane Lee of MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
This setback is obviously really bad news for Parker and the A's, but the good news from the medical staff is that the impingement is on the opposite side of the elbow from his prior surgeries. Parker will get an MRI Thursday, but the A's medical staff expressed confidence that he would pitch again. There will be more information on a possible timeline after his MRI.
