The Padres released Miller on March 13.
EDGE Analysis
After agreeing to a minor-league deal with the Padres on March 6, Miller was in camp for just one week and went 0-for-6 with three strikeouts in Cactus League play before being cut loose. The 34-year-old spent the previous season in the Rangers organization, posting a .667 OPS over 67 plate appearances.

Miller signed a minor-league contract with the Padres on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller slashed a measly .212/.283/.324 over the last two seasons with the Rangers while battling some injuries. The 34-year-old had an .812 OPS across the three seasons prior to that, however, so the Padres will give him a shot to see if he has anything left in the tank. Miller will compete for a reserve role.

The Rangers transferred Miller (hamstring) to the 60-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
A strained left hamstring forced Miller to the injured list Aug. 2, so his move to the 60-day IL will keep him out through the end of the regular season. Evan Carter was selected from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move and will fill Miller's spot on the 40-man roster.

Texas placed Miller on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left hamstring strain.
EDGE Analysis
The good news is here is that Corey Seager (thumb) has been activated from the IL in a corresponding roster move and will return to the Rangers' starting lineup Wednesday night against the White Sox. Miller suffered the hamstring strain in Tuesday's win over Chicago and seems likely to be out for at least a couple of weeks.

Miller started at designated hitter and went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Miller made his first start since he was activated from the injured list in late June. The infielder/outfielder has just six plate appearances during that stretch. With both Corey Seager (thumb, IL) and Adolis Garcia (hand) unavailable, Miller could see an uptick in opportunities.

Texas activated Miller (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Miller is back to fill a bench role for the Rangers after missing three weeks because of a right oblique strain. The 33-year-old utilityman has slashed just .208/.304/.333 in 22 major-league games (56 plate appearances) this season.

Miller (oblique) started at first base and went 0-for-2 with Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Miller began a rehab assignment by playing five innings with the Express. It's unclear what awaits Miller when he's ready to return to Texas. The utility player made just one start and had a total of 10 plate appearances during the month of May before landing on the injured list May 31.

Miller (oblique) is beginning a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Round Rock.
EDGE Analysis
Miller is nearing the end of his recovery from the right oblique strain that sent him to the injured list June 3, retroactive to May 31. He could be an option again for the Rangers this coming weekend.

Miller was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to May 31, with a right oblique strain.
EDGE Analysis
Miller suffered the injury a few days ago and seems likely to miss at least a couple of weeks. Ezequiel Duran (oblique) has been activated off the IL in a corresponding move and will return to the Rangers' starting lineup Saturday versus the Mariners.

Miller served as the designated hitter and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 5-0 loss to Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Miller entered Tuesday's game with just two plate appearances since his previous start April 26. He's part of a rotation in left field and DH that includes Ezequiel Duran, Robbie Grossman, Travis Jankowski (hamstring, IL) and Josh Smith. Duran and Smith have been getting at-bats at shortstop while Corey Seager (hamstring) is on the IL, but Seager starts a rehab assignment this week and could be re-evaluated early next week. That means the two fill-ins at short could become part of the left field/DH mix as early as next Monday.
