Barnes agreed Monday with the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization on a one-year, $200,000 contract, Jee-ho Yoo of Yonhap News Agency reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barnes had previously joined the Reds on a minor-league pact in February and was set to open the season at Double-A Chattanooga before the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in affiliated ball being suspended indefinitely. With the increasing unlikelihood that a minor-league season will be played in 2020, the Reds were willing to let Barnes pursue work elsewhere, and the 34-year-old ultimately found a lucrative opportunity overseas. Expect Cincinnati to formally waive its rights to Barnes in the coming days in order to clear the way for him to join Hanwha, where he'll be replacing another American outfielder in Jared Hoying, who was recently cut by the team.

Barnes agreed Sunday with the Reds on a minor-league contract, Doug Gray of RedsMinorLeagues.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barnes' deal doesn't include an invitation to the Reds' major-league camp, so he'll presumably be vying for an outfield spot on the Triple-A Louisville roster. The 33-year-old spent the 2019 season between the Indians' and Twins' Triple-A affiliates, slashing .253/.320/.504 with 30 home runs and 11 steals between the two stops.

Barnes was traded to the Twins and assigned to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old played well for Triple-A Columbus, amassing a slash line of .274/.337/.535 with 24 home runs and 77 RBI so far this season. Given his veteran presence, Barnes could see some time with the major-league squad if more depth is needed as long as he continues to impress at the Triple-A level.

Barnes signed a minor-league deal with the Indians on Saturday, which includes an invite to spring training.
EDGE Analysis
Barnes spent a majority of the 2018 season at the Triple-A level within Cleveland's organization before finishing up the campaign in the majors. Across 132 for Columbus, he slashed .273/.347/.444 with 14 home runs, 81 RBI and 19 stolen bases. The 32-year-old will provide additional outfield depth for the Indians heading into 2019.

Barnes elected to become a free agent Friday after being outrighted off the Indians' 40-man roster.
EDGE Analysis
Barnes was sent outright to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday and will now return to the free agent pool. The 32-year-old played 19 games with Cleveland -- going 5-for-19 with a home run, two RBI and two walks -- and his most likely path to a roster in 2019 is through a minor-league contract.

Barnes was sent outright to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Barnes finished the 2018 campaign with the big-league squad but has since been bumped off the 40-man roster. Through 19 games for Cleveland last season, he went 5-for-19 with a home run, two RBI and two walks.

Barnes' contract was selected by Cleveland on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old hasn't played in the majors since 2016 and owns a .242/.289/.356 slash line over parts of five seasons. He'll be a reserve outfielder for the Indians over the final month of the season.

Barnes signed a minor-league deal with the Indians that includes an invitation to spring training, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old journeyman failed to reach the majors for the first time since 2011, spending all of 2017 at the Triple-A level with the Marlins. He hit .276/.331/.420 with 11 home runs and 15 steals in 451 plate appearances in the Pacific Coast League. The Indians have enough outfield depth that they are invested in that it would be hard to envision Barnes carving out a big-league role in 2018 without a handful of injuries.

Barnes signed a minor league deal with the Marlins that includes an invitation to spring training, Joe Frisario of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Barnes appeared in 286 games for the Rockies over the last three seasons, but was designated for assignment in 2016 when the team promoted David Dahl. The veteran outfielder slashed .220/.250/.320 last year and will likely provide organizational outfield depth for the Marlins in 2017.

Barnes has accepted his assignment to Triple-A Albuquerque.
EDGE Analysis
Barnes was designated for assignment on July 25 after the Rockies called up outfield prospect David Dahl. With Dahl having success with the Rockies, it's hard to see a scenario where Barnes comes back up to Colorado without an injury to a current outfielder. With the trade deadline approaching it looks like the Rockies are going to stand pat with Charlie Blackmon and Carlos Gonzalez.
