De La Rosa (knee) was activated from the minor league DL on Tuesday and will report to Triple-A Norfolk, the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina reports. He is coming back from meniscus surgery, so it may be an extended stay in the minors before De La Rosa gets called up to The Show. Either way, when he does make it to Baltimore's bullpen it will be in a mid-leverage role.

De La Rosa (knee) is expected to throw in extended spring games some point next week, CBS Sports reports. De La Rosa has yet to play this season while recovering from knee surgery last September, but appears to be getting closer to a return. He'll likely head to the minor league bullpen and serve as organizational depth when healthy.

De La Rosa signed a minor league contract with the Orioles on Monday, which includes an invite to spring training, CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Dubroff reports. The 6-foot-7 righty was dominant as a reliever for the Angels in 2013, but injuries have greatly diminished his value. There is a chance he could make the Orioles' roster out of camp, but he is highly unlikely to be of much use in standard fantasy leagues, as Zach Britton has a firm hold on the ninth inning role.

Angels activated RHP Dane De La Rosa from the 15-day disabled list; optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake. De La Rosa hasn't been overly impressive while rehabbing in Triple-A, so the Angels will keep him there for a little while longer. The 31-year-old has been out since mid-April with right shoulder irritation.

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Thursday that Dane De La Rosa (shoulder) is "slowly making progress" but is not ready to be activated yet. Scioscia said the reliever's "stuff looked good" during back-to-back appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake Wednesday and Thursday. However, he added that De La Rosa "might take a couple more outings." in order "to get the confidence to know he's where he needs to be."
