Horst was released by the Dodgers on Wednesday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. Horst pitched well with Double-A Tulsa this season, posting a 1.64 ERA and 1.52 WHIP with 42 strikeouts over 38.1 innings. He did struggle with his command, however, allowing 20 walks over the same amount of frames. He's now a free agent, and will be free to look for work elsewhere.

Horst signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers on Tuesday, SB Nation's Eric Stephen reports. The deal does not include a non-roster invitation to spring training, but with fellow minor league pitcher Robert Carson having his invitation rescinded after getting suspended for a positive drug test, perhaps Horst could take his place. Either way, Horst is a 29-year-old journeyman reliever who spent all of last season at Triple-A with the Phillies, so he is unlikely to be of much use in fantasy leagues anytime soon.

Horst has filed for free agency. Horst did not see any time in the majors last season. He was 4-2 with a 3.98 ERA and a 57:31 K:BB ratio in 63.1 innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season.

Phillies designated LHP Jeremy Horst for assignment. The move was made in order to clear room on the 40-man roster for Cesar Jimenez. Horst has been at Triple-A Lehigh Valley all season, where he's posted a 4.35 ERA while walking 16 over 20 2/3 innings.

Phillies optioned LHP Jeremy Horst, C Tommy Joseph, and OFs Tyson Gillies and Zach Collier to Triple-A Lehigh Valley; reassigned LHP Cesar Jimenez, RHP Ken Giles and INF Andres Blanco to minor league camp. Horst had a legit shot to break camp had he pitched well, but he didn't (9.64 ERA) and the Phillies look to be going with Jake Diekman as their second left-hander. None of the other cuts had a real chance to make the team.

Jeremy Horst (elbow) could begin a throwing program soon. Horst has been out since mid-June with an elbow injury. If he returns, it will be well into September. The Phillies are likely just hoping he'll be OK for spring training.

Phillies transferred RHP Jeremy Horst from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list. The move clears a spot for Steve Susdorf on the 40-man roster. Horst recently received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his throwing elbow and is at risk for missing the rest of the season.

Jeremy Horst (elbow) suffered a setback during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley and will likely be shut down for the season. Horst is dealing with renewed soreness in his left (pitching) elbow and is scheduled to visit with Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion. He received a platelet-rich plasma injection on Friday and will not throw for at least six weeks.

Jeremy Horst (elbow) will make another rehab appearance on Monday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Horst threw a scoreless inning in his rehab debut on Saturday. The right-hander has been on the disabled list since June 17 with a left elbow strain. He should be back in the Phillies' bullpen by the middle of this week.
