Sanabia signed a minor league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports. The Marlins welcomed Sanabia back after the Diamondbacks cut ties in early May, and the right-hander went on to post decent numbers in 20 appearances (19 starts) with Triple-A New Orleans (7-4, 3.98 ERA, 93:32 K:BB). He hasn't had much success in 28 career appearances (24 starts) at the major league level, with a 4.15 ERA and 1.44 WHIP, but he at least fills an organizational depth need for his new club.

Marlins signed RHP Alex Sanabia to a minor league contract. He's been assigned to Triple-A New Orleans. Sanabia was claimed off waivers by the D'Backs from the Marlins over the offseason but was released earlier this week after posting an 8.10 ERA over 23 1/3 innings. He's now back in the organization where he spent his first eight years of professional ball.

Diamondbacks released RHP Alex Sanabia. It comes a couple weeks after he had been outrighted off the 40-man roster. Sanabia posted an 8.10 ERA over 23 1/3 innings at Triple-A Reno before being cut loose. Still just 25, the righty will get an opportunity elsewhere.

Diamondbacks claimed RHP Alex Sanabia off waivers from the Marlins. The 25-year-old right-hander joins the Diamondbacks 40-man roster. He made 10 starts for the Marlins in 2013, posting a 3-7 record, 4.88 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 31/25 K/BB ratio over 55 1/3 innings. He's unlikely to have much fantasy value even if he does make the Opening Day roster in Arizona.

Marlins placed RHP Alex Sanabia on the 15-day disabled list with weakness in his right groin. Sanabia felt discomfort in his groin during Sunday's loss to the White Sox and had to be lifted after four innings. The exact severity of the groin issue is unclear at the moment. Nathan Eovaldi will take Sanabia's spot in the Marlins' starting rotation later this week.

The Marlins are expected to place Alex Sanabia on the disabled list with a groin injury. Sanabia was injured in Sunday's loss to the White Sox. He allowed four runs on six hits over four innings before exiting. The Marlins have yet to announce who will take his spot in the starting rotation.

Alex Sanabia scattered seven hits while holding the Phillies to one run in 6 1/3 innings in a victory on Monday. Sanabia snapped a five-start losing streak, winning for the first time since April 16. With his 1.69 WHIP and 28/24 K/BB ratio in 51 1/3 innings, he wouldn't be much of a fantasy option even if he pitched for a good team.

Alex Sanabia allowed four runs over six innings as the Marlins lost to the Reds on Wednesday. Four runs was actually a good showing for Sanabia, as he gave up nine hits and three walks on the night. The right-hander now has a 5.00 ERA and probably shouldn't be starting for a major league team, let alone a fantasy one. His next start will come Monday against the Phillies.

Alex Sanabia left Tuesday's start against the Padres after 4 1/3 innings due to right groin tightness. Sanabia allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits and two walks before exiting. He thinks that the issue is minor and that he should be able to make his next scheduled start.
