LeCure signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran reliever was 0-2 with a 3.14 ERA over 20 innings pitched in 2015 and will start the season with Triple-A Nashville. If he can prove effective, there's a chance he could receive a callup to help the Dodgers' bullpen at some point throughout the season.

LeCure was released by the Diamondbacks on Monday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old righty agreed to a minor league contract back in January but failed to make the 25-man roster after posting a 7.88 ERA across 8.0 spring innings. The six-year MLB veteran owns a career 3.51 ERA in 320.2 innings.

LeCure has agreed to a minor league contract with the Diamondbacks, SB Nation's Chris Cotillo
EDGE Analysis
LeCure's contract will presumably include an invitation to spring training, as he posted a 3.15 ERA and 1.15 WHIP (albeit with a 15:7 K:BB ratio) over 20 innings for the Reds last season. With 320.2 career big-league innings to his name, the 31-year-old righty should have a decent shot to claim a low or medium-leverage job in the Arizona bullpen.

LeCure was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville as part of the Reds' final roster cuts. LeCure's velocity dropped along with his performance this year, but it was still a bit of a surprise to see. But something had to give with the Reds adding four non-roster players. "The LeCure thing, I never could have seen that coming when we began Spring Training," manager Bryan Price said. "I think it breaks all of our hearts that he's not on this ball club right now. We anticipate him being back. I think we feel he's not at his best where he needs to be to help us right now .... I'm very confident that he will be back with us."

LeCure is among the relievers being considered for the primary set-up role, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. LeCure regressed last year and isn't overpowering, but the team also doesn't have much in the way of established relievers standing out for the job.

LeCure got the loss Saturday night against the Marlins, giving up two runs on two hits and a walk while recording two outs. LeCure hasn't been terrible this year, but he also hasn't been as good as the previous two years. He's putting more balls in play and allowing more hits when they do get in play, and in the process has seen his WHIP spike over 1.47.

Reds avoided arbitration with RHP Sam LeCure by agreeing to a two-year contract. The financials of the deal are not yet known. LeCure, who was arbitration-eligible for the first time, has been an underrated reliever the last three seasons for the Reds, posting a 3.21 ERA while striking out over a batter per frame.

Sam LeCure tossed a scoreless ninth inning Thursday against the Diamondbacks for his first career save. LeCure got the call with Aroldis Chapman unavailable after tossing two innings on Wednesday night. His first save didn't come without some drama, as he worked around two hits to secure the victory. The difference in the ballgame was a wild pitch from Eury De La Rosa in the bottom of the eighth inning which allowed Shin-Soo Choo to score from third base.

Sam LeCure tossed a perfect seventh inning of relief to earn his seventh hold in Saturday's 5-2 win against the Cubs. Six of LeCure's seven holds have come since May 3, as Dusty Baker has grown increasingly more confident in the 29-year-old. LeCure had a 3.14 ERA as a long reliever in the Reds' bullpen last season and owns a sparkling 1.29 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 23/9 K/BB ratio over 21 innings in 2013.
