Rodriguez signed a minor league deal with the Diamondbacks on Thursday, Jon Heyman of CBS reports. The hard-throwing reliever appeared to be on the fast track to earning a closing role at some point, but he's had trouble with control and had an elbow issues last season, which resulted in surgery to clean up bone chips. He has 151 strikeouts in 150 career innings but has also walked 107 hitters over that span.

White Sox released RHP Henry Rodriguez. Rodriguez held a 21.60 ERA while walking eight over just 1 2/3 innings with Triple-A Charlotte after signing a minor league deal last month. He'll get another chance somewhere with his high-90s velocity, but Rodriguez is a long shot at this point to make it back to the majors this season.

White Sox signed RHP Henry Rodriguez to a minor league contract. The 27-year-old right-hander was released by the Marlins earlier in the week. While he has terrific stuff, he has been unable to harness his command, as evidenced by his 41/38 K/BB ratio over 25 1/3 innings at Triple-A New Orleans this season. He'll serve as organizational bullpen depth for the White Sox.

Henry Rodriguez has accepted an assignment to Triple-A New Orleans. Rodriguez failed to earn a spot in Miami's bullpen this spring after allowing six runs over nine innings of work. However, it wouldn't be surprising if the hard-throwing right-hander eventually found his way to the big club.

Marlins reassigned RHP Henry Rodriguez, INF Austin Nola, OF Matt Angle, INF Juan Diaz, and RHP Chris Hatcher to minor league camp. The Marlins made this round of cuts on Thursday morning in camp. Rodriguez had been hoping to earn a spot in the Opening Day bullpen, but the hard-throwing righty yielding six earned runs in nine innings this spring for a Grapefruit League ERA of 6.00.

Henry Rodriguez struck out three in two hitless innings of relief against the Mets on Monday. After a dismal 2013 with the Nationals and Cubs, the hard-throwing Rodriguez is making a run at a spot in the Marlins pen this spring. He's struck out six and walked one while allowing one run in four innings so far. Since he is on a minor league deal, the most likely scenario has him headed to Triple-A for a bit. However, he could be the first reliever called up by the team.
