Uribe was released by the Indians on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After being designated for assignment by the club Monday, Uribe was officially released by Cleveland on Friday. The veteran has had a rough time on the field this season, hitting just .206/.259/.332 with seven home runs and 25 RBI in 73 games. He could get scooped up by another team for the stretch run in the next couple days, but at age 37, Uribe might've played his last game in the majors this season.

Uribe was designated for assignment Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Uribe was designated for assignment in order to make room for Andrew Miller on the 25-man roster and Brandon Guyer on the 40-man roster. Uribe was having a poor season offensively, hitting just .206/.259/.332 with seven home runs and 25 RBI in 73 games and it remains to be seen whether he sees significant time with any other big league clubs this season.

Uribe is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the third time in four games Uribe will find himself on the bench, with manager Terry Francona choosing to deploy utility man Jose Ramirez at third base more regularly of late. Ramirez figures to see even more usage in the infield once Michael Brantley (shoulder) rejoins the outfield ranks later this season, so it doesn't appear likely that Uribe will have many opportunities to deliver fantasy value over the final two months.

Uribe is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, according to Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal.
EDGE Analysis
Uribe started six of the last nine games at third base, but the veteran will get a day off Wednesday with the Indians and Nationals playing an early afternoon affair. Jose Ramirez will man the hot corner for the Indians on Wednesday.

Uribe is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
For the second time this series, Uribe will give way to Jose Ramirez at third base. Due to his ability to play multiple positions, Ramirez hasn't directly taken away at-bats from Uribe for most of this season, but that could happen with more regularity once Michael Brantley (shoulder) returns from the DL to reclaim his everyday post in left field, perhaps as soon as later this week.

Uribe is out the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Uribe gets most of the playing time at third base against southpaws, but he's often rested against right-handers. Jose Ramirez will man the hot corner, with Lonnie Chisenhall and Rajai Davis taking the corner outfield spots.

Uribe is not in Thursday's lineup against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Uribe has only started three of the past five games after dealing with a finger injury the past few days, and will be out of the lineup again Thursday. In his place, Cleveland will slot Jose Ramirez into the hot corner while batting fifth. Uribe is 0-for-9 during the three games he has played this month after only hitting .188 in the month of June.

Uribe (finger) is back in the lineup Monday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Uribe was initially expected to return to action Sunday following his removal from Saturday's contest, but a late scratched delayed his return until Monday. He'll bat eighth in the order for the evening contest, confirming that any damage done after getting hit by a pitch Saturday is minor.

Uribe was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Blue Jays due to discomfort in his right index finger.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians initially gave Uribe the go-ahead to play Sunday after he was forced to exit Saturday's game upon being struck on the hand by a pitch, but he apparently was still experiencing some pain during pre-game activities. While the X-rays on Uribe's finger came back negative, he'll still require a day or two to heal up. Uribe's absence from Sunday's game will allow Jose Ramirez to pick up a start at third base.

Uribe (hand) will start at third base and bat eighth in the order Sunday against the Blue Jays, Andre Knott of WTAM 1100 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Uribe was removed from Saturday's loss in the sixth inning after he was struck on the hand by a pitch with the bases loaded, resulting in Francisco Lindor coming off the bench to take his spot. Fortunately for the veteran, X-rays on his hand came back negative, and his presence in the lineup Sunday suggests Uribe was only removed the day before as a precaution. He should be in line for a full slate of at-bats in the series finale.
