Santiago (collarbone) was activated from the disabled list Monday, John Lott of the National Post reports. The 35-year-old broke his collarbone during Spring Training and has seen Devon Travis seize the second base slot, leaving Santiago in Triple-A Buffalo. The career .243 hitter will likely only be called up to the majors with a rash of injuries or suspensions by middle infielders.

Santiago (collarbone) was re-signed to a Minor League contract on Monday and is headed to the disabled list, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports. With this move, the team made official what was previously reported last week. After getting injured on Mar. 15, the team released him to avoid paying a $100,000 roster bonus. Santiago is likely out for the next two months and has a chance to make the 25-man roster upon healing. Santiago has extremely limited fantasy value until he becomes healthy and makes the roster and even then, will have a suppressed fantasy value.

Santiago (collarbone) will return to the Blue Jays on a minor league deal, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. A leading candidate for a backup infield role at the halfway point of spring training, Santiago broke his collarbone on a diving play Mar. 15. The injury will cost Santiago at least 10 weeks, meaning an early-June return is likely a best-case scenario for the 35-year-old. While Santiago missed out on a $100,000 bonus with his release Monday, the Blue Jays will bring Santiago back and in turn pay for his rehab and afford him the chance to crack the major league roster once healthy.

Santiago (collarbone) will miss 10 weeks, Blue Jays announcer Mike Wilner reports. He suffered a broken collarbone over the weekend and this essentially eliminated any chances he had of making the roster out of camp. Look for him to rehab to start the season and eventually get into games in the upper levels of the minor leagues sometime in June.

Santiago injured his collarbone diving for a ball in Sunday's spring training game, and an X-ray revealed a broken collarbone, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports. Santiago will be evaluated by a team doctor Monday to determine a timetable for his recovery. He was in camp on a minor league deal, and had a pretty good start to spring training, batting .417 with two RBI and a run scored in 12 at-bats.

Santiago signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays on Thursday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports. Santiago, who posted a .667 OPS in 75 games for the Reds last season, will look to earn a roster spot in spring training. The 35-year-old is hitting .242/.316/.321 over his last five seasons.

Santiago is starting at shortstop for the third straight day Wednesday. While Santiago hasn't been great this season, batting .252/.352/.318, Zack Cozart has been worse. The 34-year-old could see a good portion of playing time in September, but expect Cozart and possibly Jake Elmore to receive some starts as well.

Santiago went 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI against the Rockies on Friday night. The Reds' infielder has been an up-and-down hitter for most of the season, although he has done a decent job filling in for an injured Reds' infield. Santiago (.235/.329/.301) isn't expected to string many good hitting games together moving forward.

Santiago hit his first homer of the season, a three-run shot in the second inning, to help fuel Tuesday's win over the Indians. Santiago's playing time has increased dramatically with Brandon Phillips out. He had a brief surge, but even with Tuesday's homer Santiago is hitting just .235/.331/.311.

Reds purchased the contract of INF Ramon Santiago from Triple-A Louisville. Santiago batted only .196/.275/.239 this spring, but he's known for his glove and will back up all over the infield. The 34-year-old spent his last eight seasons with the Tigers.
