Xavier Paul (shoulder) is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday. Paul hasn't played since last Friday, when he hurt his right shoulder while trying to make a catch in foul territory. "He'll probably be back hopefully on Wednesday," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "He's able to pinch-hit [Monday]."

Xavier Paul's name was involved in a fraud attempt down in the Australian Baseball League. According to MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch, former minor league outfielder Breland Brown posed as an agent and told ABL officials that Paul would play in the Australian league this offseason if Brown himself was also invited. When Paul didn't show, authorities were alerted and Brown's attempt at landing a contract were thwarted. It's an odd news item, but Paul should ultimately espace the fiasco unscathed.
