Myers (knee) will sit Monday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Myers will be on the bench for the second straight game while he deals with right knee inflammation. Jose Azocar gets the start in right field for the second straight game. Myers was reportedly available off the bench Sunday against the Pirates, so it's likely he's available in a similar capacity Monday.

Myers is considered day-to-day with right knee inflammation ahead of Monday's series opener against the Cardinals, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Myers was out of the lineup Sunday against the Pirates after drawing 16 consecutive starts, and he didn't appear off the bench during the team's win over Pittsburgh. Manager Bob Melvin revealed after the game that Myers is dealing with a knee issue, but the 31-year-old would have been available off the bench if needed. If Myers misses additional time, Jose Azocar should see increased playing time in right field.

Myers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Since returning from the injured list May 10, Myers has started in all of the Padres' subsequent 16 games. He's managed a pedestrian .664 OPS during that 16-game stretch, but he doesn't look to be at any risk of losing out on a regular role as a result. Jose Azocar will cover right field Sunday in Myers' stead.

Myers went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and three RBI in a 10-1 victory versus San Francisco on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Myers set off the Padres' offensive outburst with a first-inning run-scoring single. He drove in two more runs in the fourth frame with a double to left field. This was Myers' second three-hit game of the season and fourth multi-hit performance over his past nine contests. Over that stretch, he is slashing .333/.375/.472 with a home run, 10 RBI and eight runs.

Myers went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored during Sunday's 7-3 win over Atlanta in extra innings.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old didn't have any extra-base hits Sunday, but he went 2-for-2 with runners in scoring position to help power San Diego's offense. Myers had a .527 OPS prior to landing on the injured list in late April with a bruised right thumb, but he's 6-for-21 with a home run, a walk, six RBI and four runs in five games since returning from the injury.

Myers went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 11-6 win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
His sixth-inning solo shot off Max Fried was Myers' first homer of the year in his 18th game, as a thumb injury has cost him significant time so far. His .235/.260/.324 slash line, six runs and 10 RBI are far from impressive, but if Myers is finally feeling 100 percent healthy, his numbers should begin to rise.

Myers (thumb) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Myers has been sidelined the past two weeks with a bruised right thumb, but he'll rejoin the active roster ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Cubs. The 31-year-old is off to a slow start in 2022 with a .218/.254/.273 slash line and 32.2 percent strikeout rate through 15 games, and he has yet to hit his first home run.

Myers (thumb) is expected to begin hitting off a tee Thursday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Myers has experienced a significant decrease in the swelling in his right thumb since landing on the shelf a week ago, and he could return as soon as the upcoming series against the Cubs, which begins Monday. However, he'll need to see how his body responds to the increase in activity, and it's also possible he'll require a brief rehab stint.

The Padres placed Myers (thumb) on the 10-day injured list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Myers won't be eligible to return from the IL until at least May 7 after the Padres opted to deactivate him while he recovers from the right thumb contusion he sustained in Tuesday's 9-6 win over the Reds. The lefty-hitting Matt Beaty has picked up two straight starts in right field in Myers' stead and should serve as the primary option at the position while the latter is sidelined, at least against right-handed pitching.

Myers (thumb/finger) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Myers will be on the bench for the second game in a row while he tends to the right thumb and index finger injury he sustained in Tuesday's 9-6 win in the series opener. Matt Beaty will make a second consecutive start in right field in place of Myers, who could be bound for the injured list if he doesn't show much improvement heading into the weekend. The Padres have already brought up Trayce Thompson from Triple-A El Paso and added him to the taxi squad, so he would presumably be in line for a promotion to the active roster if Myers lands on the shelf.
