Davis was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left oblique strain, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has not pitched since May 14, and now we know why. This should sideline him for more than the minimum 10 days, but an official timetable has not been disclosed. Seunghwan Oh and Jake McGee are the guys in the bullpen with closer experience, and Scott Oberg has enjoyed good results in the eighth, but Carlos Estevez probably deserves the first look based on merit. Estevez, who has a 3.27 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 22 innings, has 11 career saves, so he has some exposure to that type of role.

Davis picked up the save against the Red Sox on Tuesday, working around one hit to fire a scoreless inning and close out a 5-4 extra-innings victory for the Rockies. He struck out one and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
Davis bagged his seventh save of the season with this clean effort, needing 14 pitches to successfully protect the one-run lead. It was a solid rebound effort after he gave up two earned to the Giants in his last appearance. He has yet to blow a save so far this season, and is now sporting a 2.45 ERA and an 18:10 K:BB over 14.2 innings.

Davis picked up the save against the Giants on Thursday, despite giving up two runs on three hits in the ninth inning in Colorado's 12-11 victory. He struck out three with no walks.
EDGE Analysis
Tasked with protecting a 12-9 lead, it wasn't a good outing for Davis, who struck out the first two hitters he faced before the Giants scored twice on him to cut the deficit to one run. However, he managed to come back to strike out Stephen Vogt and lock down his sixth save of the season. He still boasts a solid 2.13 ERA in 15 appearances, and remains the top option at closer for the Rockies.

Davis got the save against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, retiring the side in a scoreless ninth inning to preserve Colorado's 8-7 victory. He didn't record a walk or a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Tasked with protecting a one-run lead, Davis retired all three batters he faced to record his fifth save in as many chances to start the season. He hasn't had the opportunities to rack up as many saves as some other top-tier closers, but the right-hander is the unquestioned top option for the Rockies, and is off to an excellent start as he's yielded just one earned run and struck out 14 batters in 11.2 innings.

Davis struck out the final batter of Friday's game against the Braves to secure the save.
EDGE Analysis
Davis has been rock solid for Colorado in 2019, as he's allowed a run in just one of his 11 outings. That's good enough for a 1.00 ERA with 12 strikeouts over nine frames. Wade will continue to be the top option for the Rockies in save situations moving forward.

Davis got a one-out save against the Nationals on Wednesday, striking out the only batter he faced to secure a 9-5 victory.
EDGE Analysis
The Rockies were leading 9-3 going into the the ninth inning, but the Nationals staged a rally against Harrison Musgrave that cut the lead to 9-5 and allowed Davis to enter in a save situation. The veteran then struck out Kurt Suzuki with two runners on to end the threat. Davis didn't get his first save until April 15, but he's added two more since then and will continue to serve as the top closer option for the Rockies.

Davis got the save against the Nationals on Monday, working around a hit and a walk to fire a scoreless ninth inning and lock down a 7-5 victory for the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Davis allowed a leadoff double to Ryan Zimmerman and walked Brian Dozier, but he was able to get Kurt Suzuki to ground into a game-ending double play to escape with his second save of the season. The 33-year-old has only given up one earned run through his 8.1 innings to give him a 1.08 ERA, although he has allowed seven hits and walked six batters to leave him with a 1.56 WHIP over nine appearances.

Davis got a one-out save against the Padres on Monday, working around a walk to get the final out via strikeout in the Rockies' 5-2 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Davis finally picked up his first save of the season after coming into the game with a runner aboard, walking Luis Urias before striking out Ian Kinsler to seal the victory. It took Davis longer than expected to get this first save, but that can be attributed to a lack of opportunities on a Rockies team that has struggled out of the gate. He remains the top option for the closer role in the Colorado bullpen.

Davis (1-0) got the win against the Rays on Wednesday, giving up one hit in 1.1 innings, striking out two and walking one in Colorado's 1-0 victory in extra innings.
EDGE Analysis
Davis allowed a couple of baserunners, but he kept the Rays off the scoreboard and was eventually rewarded with his first win of the season thanks to a game-winning home run from Chris Iannetta. It was only the second appearance of the season for the right-hander, who remains the top option at closer for the Rockies, and should start to see more save opportunities as the season progresses.

Davis has given up one earned run over five innings of work in Cactus League play this spring, striking out five and walking one in his five appearances.
EDGE Analysis
Davis had a National League-high 43 saves last season and he's locked in as the Rockies' ninth-inning man again ahead of the start of the regular season. His 4.13 ERA from last year thanks to a handful of rough outings wasn't spectacular, but he did have a solid 1.06 WHIP and should be a reliable source of saves once again, even if he's not providing the top-tier ratios of other closer options.
