Clippard registered the save Tuesday against the Phillies after allowing one run on one hit and one walk while fanning one. He also tossed a wild pitch.
EDGE Analysis
Clippard needed 20 pitches (10 strikes) and gave up a run before closing the door on the Phillies en route to picking up his third save of the season. The veteran reliever owns a 2.70 ERA on the campaign, but his recent performances have not been very dominant. He has allowed runs in three of his last four appearances.

Clippard (1-0) earned the win over the Padres on Friday with a perfect inning of work.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander pitched the top of the ninth inning with the score tied 2-2. He set down San Diego in order on just nine pitches. Clippard was then rewarded with a win as a result of Daulton Varsho's walkoff home run in the bottom of the frame. Clippard lowered his ERA to 2.00 with the effective outing, and he still appears to be the favorite to close games out of the Arizona bullpen despite not posting a save since Aug. 3.

Clippard allowed a run on two hits with one strikeout in a blown save Thursday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Clippard relieved Taylor Clarke in the ninth inning with the Diamondbacks leading 4-1, and he allowed a pair of inherited runners to score before yielding the game-tying single to LaMonte Wade. It was the first blown save of the year for Clippard, who took over closer duties in the wake of Joakim Soria's trade to Toronto. The 36-year-old Clippard has a 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a pair of saves in seven innings this season.

Clippard allowed one hit and struck out one over a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Clippard, who picked up his second save in the last week, has been spotless since returning from a shoulder injury. He's fired six scoreless innings with five strikeouts and one walk. In the absence of a set closer, Clippard rises to the top among a crew that includes Noe Ramirez and Joe Mantiply, both of whom are on the COVID-19 injury list.

Clippard earned the save Wednesday against Texas, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts in his lone inning of work.
EDGE Analysis
Clippard was handed a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning and quickly struck out the first two batters before yielding a walk to Curtis Terry and a single to Charlie Culbertson. But Clippard got Jose Trevino to line out to end the game, pocketing his first save since the 2018 season. Joakim Soria, who has been operating as Arizona's closer, worked the eighth inning and faced the Rangers' 9-1-2-3 hitters, so Clippard's appearance doesn't necessarily represent a shift in roles. Clipped has spun three straight scoreless outings since missing the first four months with a shoulder injury.

Clippard (shoulder) allowed one hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning in Wednesday's 6-4 win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
After missing nearly four months due a shoulder strain suffered in spring training, the veteran right-hander made his debut in his second stint with Arizona. Clippard allowed a leadoff single to Jacob Stallings in the sixth inning, but he was able to retire the next three batters without trouble. The 35-year-old earned a hold in the appearance, and he should be factor for high-leverage work once he's up to speed.

The Diamondbacks reinstated Clippard (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Clippard is ready to make his season debut for Arizona after a right shoulder strain suffered in spring training kept him on the IL for nearly four months. The 36-year-old proved his health during a four-outing rehab assignment between the Diamondbacks' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate and Triple-A Reno, and he could quickly settle into a key late-inning role in an Arizona bullpen lacking in proven arms.

The Diamondbacks transferred Clippard's (shoulder) rehab assignment to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran made three appearances in the Arizona Complex League, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing five runs (three earned) while striking out six and walking none. Now in Reno, Clippard appears to be just around the corner from returning to the Diamondbacks, whom he's yet to pitch for in 2021 due to a right shoulder sprain. That being said, it's unclear exactly how much work he'll require at Triple-A before he's activated.

Clippard (shoulder) made his first rehab appearance for the Diamondbacks' Arizona Complex League affiliate Friday, working 1.1 innings and giving up three earned runs on four hits while striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
Clippard was making his first appearance of the season at any level after he sustained a capsule sprain in his right shoulder in late March that resulted in the Diamondbacks placing him on the 60-day injured list. While the 36-year-old endured a rough showing against low-level competition, the Diamondbacks are likely just happy to see him back on the mound again. He'll likely need to make several more appearances across multiple minor-league affiliates before the Diamondbacks consider activating him from the IL.

Clippard (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander resumed throwing in early June after undergoing a minor knee procedure in May, and he's now ramped up to throwing bullpen sessions. Clippard missed the start of the season after suffering a right shoulder capsule sprain in spring training, and he should require a rehab assignment before being able to join the Diamondbacks.
