Gore's contract was selected from Triple-A Iowa on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Owners desperate for every last steal could consider Gore, but he's very unlikely to have much fantasy value in any other category. He's the purest pinch-running specialist in the game right now, with 21 steals and just 14 plate appearances (and zero hits) in 49 career games.

Gore was traded to the Cubs in exchange for cash considerations Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Gore has only appeared sporadically in 49 major-league games over his professional career, all coming in Kansas City during the past five seasons. Though he doesn't provide much impact offensively, Gore has plenty of speed and could be utilized as a key pinch-running specialist for the Cubs during the homestretch of the 2018 season if he's able to crack the active roster.

Gore was sent to minor-league camp Monday, Rustin Dodd of The Athletic Kansas City reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore went 2-for-9 with three RBI and one stolen base in 10 spring training games prior to being reassigned to minor-league camp. He figures to begin the season with Triple-A Omaha.

Gore signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Hours after being non-tendered, Gore put pen to paper, formally agreeing to return to the organization. Gore has one home run in seven minor-league seasons and he rarely gets on base, but he has great speed. Chances are, Gore will at least be up in September again to pinch run.

The Royals declined to tender Gore a contract for 2018.
EDGE Analysis
With that, Gore is now a free agent. He played in the majors in each of the last four seasons, but never appeared in more than 17 games with Kansas City. Gore is mostly a one-dimensional player (speed), with very little to offer at the plate in terms of hitting or on-base skills. He should at least get a spring invite from another club, but it's hard to imagine Gore will be able to carve out a significant role in 2018.

Gore entered as a pinch runner and stole his first base of the season in the eighth inning of Wednesday game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy outfielder has yet to make a start since being recalled on Sept. 1 as part of roster expansions. It's unlikely he'll be penciled into the lineup as long as Kansas City is still in the playoff hunt, but Gore's speed is worthy of attention in daily formats if he does earn a start at some point.

Gore was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Gore will make his customary September trip up to the majors, where his elite speed is an asset when he is deployed as a pinch runner. He could steal a half dozen bases this month, even without any starts, but don't expect him to see many plate appearances.

Gore will be optioned to Triple-A Omaha when Melky Cabrera joins the team in Baltimore on Monday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
During his three-game cup of coffee in Kansas City, Gore didn't log a plate appearance and was caught stealing in his lone attempt on the base paths. He'll head back to the minors for more seasoning, although he could be back in the majors soon given his game-changing speed off the bench.

Gore was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Friday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore makes his return to the Royals after slashing .221/.294/.279 in 158 plate appearances since being promoted to Omaha in mid-May. The 26-year-old will likely return to his role as a pinch runner, as he has 19 stolen bases and has only been caught twice over four seasons with the Royals. Gore's paltry nine major league plate appearances essentially erase his value as a fantasy option.

Gore has been promoted from Double-A Northwest Arkansas to Triple-A Omaha, MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore was slashing .254/.279/.271 through 19 games at Double-A. Those aren't exactly the types of numbers one might deem worthy of a promotion, but regardless, he'll move up to Omaha and sit on the doorstep of MLB.
