Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Shelby Miller (elbow) threw a 60-pitch simulated game on Tuesday, and the team wants to get him into a game against the Padres to close out the regular season this weekend. Miller has made exactly eight starts in the last two seasons because of arm injuries, and he had posted an ugly 11.40 ERA and 2.07 WHIP with an 11.4 K/9 before being shut down in early July. He's not a fantasy option and likely won't be one heading into the 2019 season.

Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Shelby Miller (elbow), who left his start early on Wednesday, is heading back to Phoenix, Arizona, to have his right elbow examined. This is especially troubling since Miller had Tommy John surgery on his elbow last May. He hasn't been sharp in his four starts since returning on June 25, either, posting an 11.40 ERA with five homers allowed over 15 innings. Miller should not be on the fantasy radar right now.
