Perez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a sacrifice fly in Monday's 7-6 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Perez got the scoring started with his first-inning blast and added a tying run on his sac fly in the ninth. The catcher has been all-or-nothing lately with three multi-hit efforts and three 0-fers in his last six games. Overall, he's at a .251/.295/.437 slash line with 19 homers, 53 RBI, 46 runs scored and 19 doubles through 107 contests this season.

Perez went 4-for-4 with one double, a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in Friday's victory over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Perez opened the floodgates for Kansas City with a two-run double in the first, then followed with a solo home run in the second to put the Royals up by nine. Perez now has 17 home runs on the season but has been struggling since the start of June, entering the game with a .204 batting average to go along with just five homers and 13 RBI over that stretch. Perhaps this performance will help springboard the 33-year-old veteran to a big finish to his season.

Perez (hand) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Though he'll be on the bench for the series opener at Fenway Park, Perez appears to have avoided a major injury scare after he was removed from Sunday's 8-4 loss to the Phillies when he was hit in the left hand by a pitch. X-rays later cleared Perez of any structural damage, so he'll be viewed as day-to-day while he heals up from the hand contusion. With Perez on the bench Monday, Freddy Fermin will start behind the plate while Matt Beaty gets the nod at first base.

Perez was diagnosed with a bruised left hand after exiting Sunday's game against the Phillies after two innings, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
While serving as the Royals' starting catcher Sunday, Perez went 1-for-1 with a base hit and a run before leaving the contest following his second plate appearance of the day, when he was hit in the hand by a pitch. Fortunately for the veteran backstop, initial scans ruled out any structural damage. Perez could be dealing with soreness or swelling to the hand, however, making it uncertain if he'll be ready to return to the lineup for Monday's series opener in Boston.

Perez was removed from Sunday's game against the Phillies after being hit by a pitch on the hand, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas Cityreports.
EDGE Analysis
Perez ran the bases after being hit by a pitch during the top of the second inning but didn't take the field for the bottom of the frame. Freddy Fermin has taken over behind the plate, which forced the Royals to give up the designated hitter for the remainder of Sunday's contest. Perez is likely to undergo precautionary X-rays and should be considered day-to-day until more information is available.

Perez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 5-3 win over the Guardians.
EDGE Analysis
Perez's sixth-inning blast gave the Royals enough of a cushion to secure the win. The catcher has gone deep in back-to-back games since he snapped a 19-game power drought. He's hitting just .214 (12-for-56) in July, a slump that's dropped him to a .246/.287/.438 slash line with 17 homers, 43 RBI, 40 runs scored and 15 doubles through 90 contests overall.

EDGE Analysis
Perez got the Royals on the board with a solo homer off Luis Severino in the fourth inning, his 16th long ball of the year and first since June 23. The home run snapped an 0-for-16 skid for the 33-year-old Perez. He's now slashing .246/.288/.431 with 41 RBI and 39 runs scored through 365 plate appearances this season.

Perez (hamstring) went 0-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Perez was out for two days while dealing with a Grade 1 plus hamstring strain, but he was able to avoid the injured list. He played all nine innings behind the dish before Edward Olivares replaced him as a pinch runner. Through 11 contests in July, Perez is batting .278 (10-for-36) with a 2:10 BB:K. The catcher is slashing .255/.298/.440 through 85 contests overall.

Perez (hamstring) is catching and batting cleanup in his return to the lineup Wednesday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Perez missed a couple starts with a left hamstring strain but feels well enough to give it a go Wednesday. The slugger has scuffled over the last few weeks, batting .192/.276/.212 with no home runs and one RBI in his previous 15 contests.
