Martin is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Martin will head to the bench for the third time in five games and no longer looks to be in line for regular starts at catcher or third base, where Danny Jansen and Aledmys Diaz, respectively, have emerged as the top options at those positions. Since Martin is still under contract through 2019, he likely won't be phased out entirely, but expect the Blue Jays to nonetheless prioritize at-bats for their younger players over the final few weeks of the campaign.

Martin will start at third base and bat leadoff Sunday against the Yankees, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a glut of infielders on the disabled list, the Blue Jays have settled on Martin as their primary third baseman, with the 35-year-old set to make his fifth start in eight games at the position. Toronto should soon get some reinforcement at the hot corner with Josh Donaldson (calf) nearing a return from the DL, at which point Martin will likely resume seeing most of his work behind the plate.

Martin is starting at third base Sunday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Martin seemed to be losing playing time to Luke Maile behind the dish, and the outlook only got bleaker with the callup of catching prospect Danny Jansen on Sunday. That said, Martin's ability to play third base could help keep him in the lineup until Josh Donaldson (calf) is ready to return to the fray. The veteran backstop will need to improve with the bat to warrant much consideration in most fantasy formats though, as he is hitting below the Mendoza Line this season and is on pace for career lows in extra-base hits, runs scored and RBI.

Martin is on the bench for the fifth time in the last nine games Tuesday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Luke Maile has been preferred to Martin six of the last nine games behind the plate. (Martin has also started once at third base.) With the Blue Jays well out of the playoff picture, it makes sense that the team wouldn't feel the need to give the 35-year-old regular at-bats, preferring to give playing time to younger players. Martin is still under contract for $20 million in 2019, however, so the team won't be moving on from him entirely.

Martin is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Martin is just receiving a routine maintenance day, so Luke Maile will check in behind the plate in the veteran's stead. With three home runs and nine hits total over his last seven games, Martin has been wielding a hot bat of late.

Martin is out of Thursday's starting nine against the Mariners, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Martin will get his second day off in three games after going 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBI against Oakland on Wednesday. Luke Maile is slated to handle the catching duties and bat eighth in his stead.

Martin went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the A's.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran catcher is showing signs of life at the plate, hitting .292 (7-for-24) with three homers in eight games since the All-Star break. Martin still only has nine home runs and a feeble .190/.335/.333 slash line on the season, but he could yet have a solid finish to what's otherwise been a disappointing campaign.
