Choice is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Royals. Aside from a three-hit outburst last week against the Astros, Choice has struggled upon returning to the Rangers, producing one hit across his other 19 at-bats. He'll sit for the second consecutive day.

Choice is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Royals. Ryan Rua will move out to left field Tuesday, pushing Choice to the bench after seven consecutive starts. Choice continues to struggle against major league pitching, but he's just 24 years old and the Rangers, in full evaluation mode, figure to give him ample playing time over the final weeks of the season.

Choice went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in Friday's 13-6 win over the Astros. After going 0-for-10 since being recalled from the minors at the beginning of the week, Choice turned things around Friday night. Though his rookie campaign has been largely disappointing so far, the 24-year-old outfielder has shown some pop this season and figures to see plenty of playing time during September.

Choice will be recalled by the Rangers for Tuesday's game, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Jeff Wilson reports. Choice was able to demonstrate his power, hitting eight home runs in 69 games when he was up with the Rangers earlier this season. But he also posted a .177 average and a .247 OBP over that span, so any value from his pop may be mitigated by his inefficiencies as a hitter.

Rangers optioned OF Michael Choice to Triple-A Round Rock. Choice, 24, is batting just .177 with eight homers and a .565 OPS over 219 plate appearances this season. Regular at-bats in the minors would probably be good for him.

Michael Choice was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to a left shin contusion. He should be considered day-to-day. Daniel Robertson has replaced Choice in left field.

Michael Choice had a rough night at the plate in Friday's loss to the Tigers, going 0-for-3 with a strikeout. Choice is facing a golden opportunity to see increased playing time due to the injury to Prince Fielder and Mitch Moreland shifting to first base full time, but he's hitting a paltry .190/.284/.260 on the season and looks lost at the plate. The Rangers may have to make a move to fill their large vacancy at designated hitter.

Michael Choice went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in the Rangers' lopsided 14-3 win over the Angels on Sunday. Getting the start in center field against left-hander Tyler Skaggs, Choice delivered for manager Ron Washington. Even more noteworthy was the fact that Choice's three-run home run, his second homer of the season, came off a right-hander, reliever Kevin Jepsen. Choice will likely continue to see the majority of his playing time against southpaws, but Sunday may go a ways toward showing Washington he can do some damage against right-handers as well.

Michael Choice slugged his first major league home run in the Rangers' loss to the Astros on Saturday. It was a game-tying solo shot off Kevin Chapman in the bottom of the ninth inning. Choice entered the game as a pinch-hitter and isn't getting enough playing time at this point to carry relevance in fantasy leagues.
