Blazek (forearm) threw a sim game Monday and is slated to throw one more later this week before potentially returning to the Brewers bullpen, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blazek has thrown 40.1 innings with a brutal 5.58 ERA and 1.88 WHIP this season, but was sharp in 2015, when he posted a 2.43 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 55.2 innings of work. Look for the Brewers to try and work him in down the stretch so they can get an idea of whether or not he can be a viable piece in their bullpen in 2017 and beyond.

The Brewers hope to have Blazek (forearm) return to game action before the end of the season, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blazek was activated off the disabled list earlier in the week but he has yet to get back into game action. The Brewers have limited him to just bullpen sessions, but there is some optimism that he'll be able to get back into a game before the season is out. Still, a hope that he'll be able to get back into a game and an actual timeline for his return are completely different things, so it's difficult to determine if/when Blazek will be back on a mound.

Blazek (forearm) was reinstated from the 15-day DL on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
He has been throwing for a couple weeks, but has not gone on a rehab assignment. However, the Brewers were able to activate Blazek on Saturday without a corresponding move, thanks to roster expansion. He will likely be eased back into the bullpen mix, settling into a middle innings role before the end of the season.

Blazek (forearm) has resumed throwing, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blazek's MRI revealed no significant damage to his forearm, so he'll continue throwing and work towards a mid-September return. Blazek had been a liability on the mound for the Brewers before landing on the DL on August 16. Over 40 innings (40.1 innings), he posted a 5.58 ERA and 1.88 WHIP while giving up home runs at a rate of 1.6 HR/9.

Blazek was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a right forearm strain.
EDGE Analysis
Blazed missed time in June with a right elbow injury, and it appears he is again dealing with soreness in his pitching arm. It's not yet clear how long he will be out, but he will be sidelined at least until August 29.

Blazek was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Blazek has struggled mightily as of late. In Saturday's loss to the Cardinals, he walked two batters and gave up two home runs, bringing his ERA up to 5.87. Walks have plagued Blazek all season, as his BB/9 has inflated to 6.5. The Brewers have yet to announce the corresponding move they will make with Blazek's departure from the big club.

Blazek (elbow) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Saturday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blazek pitched well for the Brewers prior to his last outing before being placed on the disabled list (five earned runs in 0.2 innings). He will likely return to some late-inning outings once again, serving as one of three options for the Brewers to set up closer Jeremy Jeffress.

Blazek (elbow) will pitch Thursday for Triple-A Colorado Springs and will be activated and rejoin the Brewers at some point afterward.
EDGE Analysis
Blazek appears to be nearing the end of his DL stint and should be back in the Brewers' bullpen soon. The 27-year-old was having a sub-par season for Milwaukee, posting a 4.13 EAR and 1.83 WHIP in 25 appearances.

Blazek (elbow) is set to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Colorado Springs in the next day or two, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Blazek isn't in line to return from the DL when eligible June 14, the fact that he's in line to kick off a rehab assignment suggests he won't miss much more than the 15-day minimum. The 27-year-old carried a 4.13 ERA and 1.83 WHIP over 24 innings prior to landing on the DL and figures to see more lower-leverage innings now that Will Smith (knee) has since been reinstated from the 15-day DL and has excelled in his role as one of the Brewers' preferred setup men for closer Jeremy Jeffress.
