Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that outfielder Mark Trumbo (knee) will play in the field "soon" in extended spring training games, and he is getting close to a rehab assignment. The 33-year-old has yet to play in 2019, but he can offer decent power numbers in a hitter-friendly environment in deeper leagues when he's healthy. Trumbo is just three years removed from slugging a career-high 47 long balls and driving in 108 runs in his first year in Baltimore. Keep him on your watch lis[...]

Mark Trumbo Slowly Progressing rotoballer.com Wed 5/1/19 2:37 PM

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Mark Trumbo (knee) is throwing and doing light running but isn't doing any other baseball activities as he works his way back from knee surgery. Trumbo is on the 60-day injured list and likely won't make his season debut for Baltimore until June. The right-handed slugger still has some power in his lumber and can help those in deep mixed and AL-only leagues, but you'll have to be patient. Continue to leave him to the waiver wire in mixed leagues for now.

Updating a previous report, the Baltimore Orioles officially placed outfielder Mark Trumbo (knee) on the 60-day injured list on Monday. It means that Trumbo won't be available to play until at least the final week of May after having serious knee surgery last year. The 33-year-old wasn't really in play in mixed leagues to begin with after seeing only 330 at-bats and disappointing due to his knee injury in 2018. It's another reason not to roster Trumbo in mixed leagues in 2019 after he hit .261 with 17 home runs and 44 RBI in only 330 at-bats last season. [...]
