Johnson is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
After garnering the start for the series opener, Johnson will head to the bench for game two. Even with right-handers on the mound, Johnson has been ceding a lot of starts to younger players lately in what seems to be an effort to feel out the different options the Braves have for the future. That trend will continue Wednesday, as Reid Brignac takes over for the 34-year-old at second base.

Johnson is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has spent a lot of time on the bench of late with the Braves facing left-handers in seven of their last 13 starts, and he will remain there Sunday even with the Braves taking on right-hander Jerad Eickhoff. Gordon Beckham will start at second base in Johnson's place, and it looks like the duo will share the work at second base in some fashion for the time being.

Johnson is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the second day in a row that Johnson is not in the lineup, although it is not that surprising considering the Pirates are trotting left-hander Jeff Locke out to the mound Thursday, their second lefty in a row. To fill his spot in the order, Gordon Beckham will slide over to second base while Chase d'Arnaud fills in at third base.

Johnson is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game with the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Although Johnson has picked things up at the plate this month, but it seems the Braves thought Wednesday was a good day to get the utility man some rest with left-hander Francisco Liriano taking the ball for Pittsburgh. Erick Aybar will slide over to second base to fill in for Johnson while Daniel Castro mans shortstop.

Johnson went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's loss to the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has turned his season around this month, raising his average by nearly 50 points since the beginning of May. Given the uncertainty at nearly every position in the Braves' lineup and Johnson's ability to play all over the diamond, the veteran should get consistent appearances if he continues to hit.

Johnson is out of the lineup Sunday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty Danny Duffy on the hill for the opposing Royals, manager Fredi Gonzalez will elect to rest Johnson in favor of Chase d'Arnaud at the keystone. Johnson might be a candidate to sit Monday as well, as the Braves are scheduled to face another southpaw in Jon Niese to open a four-game series in Pittsburgh.

Johnson is not in the lineup Monday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson went 2-for-4 with a run while starting at second base in Sunday's contest, but he'll take a seat on the bench Monday despite right-hander Rick Porcello getting the ball for Boston. Jace Peterson will take his spot at second base Monday, with Jeff Francoeur filling the void in left field.

Johnson is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson drew back into the lineup against Matt Harvey and the Mets on Friday, going 1-for-4 with an RBI and two strikeouts. However, with the Mets tossing out lefty Steven Matz on Saturday, manager Fredi Gonzalez will plug righty Jeff Francoeur into Johnson's spot in left field.
