Smoak singled, walked twice, and scored two runs over three at-bats in Sunday's spring game.
EDGE Analysis
Smoak has not yet tallied an extra-base hit, but he has reached base five times over 12 plate appearances in his first spring with his new club. Smoak is coming off a down season, but he is on track to see plenty of action at first base for the Brewers. Exactly how the starts are divided between him and Ryan Braun, though, remains to be seen.

Smoak signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the Brewers on Thursday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smoak had a decrease in production last season, as he hit just .208/.342/.406 with 22 home runs and 61 RBI, good for only a 101 wRC+. Despite his downturn in 2019, the 33-year-old has been reliable offensively in the past. If he can regain production, he could take over as the Brewers' primary first baseman next season even with Ryan Braun and newly acquired Ryon Healy available as other options.

Smoak went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBI in Sunday's win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Smoak will leave Blue Jays' fans with positive memories in what may wind up as his final game in Toronto. He'll be a free agent this season and may find it tough to secure a major-league contract, as he'll be coming off a year in which he hit just .208/.342/.406, not a good enough line for a first baseman. Smoak will turn 33 in December and likely doesn't fit into the rebuilding Blue Jays' future plans.

EDGE Analysis
Smoak finds himself on the bench for the fourth straight game. He hasn't appeared in any capacity in any of the last three contests. Randal Grichuk will rest his legs as the designated hitter Friday.

Smoak is not in Monday's lineup against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Smoak will sit for the second time in three games as the Blue Jays continue to give looks to other players down the stretch. The veteran first baseman, who is a free agent after the season, is hitting just .191 with a .453 OPS through 12 games this month. Randal Grichuk is starting at DH in place of Smoak on Monday, with Billy McKinney getting the nod in right field.

Smoak is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Smoak homered in Friday's win, his second homer in three games, but he will not be rewarded with another start Saturday. The 32-year-old is a free agent this winter and the Blue Jays have been giving looks to other players at Smoak's expense. He's struggled with the transition to a part-time role, batting .108/.214/.297 in 11 games so far this month.

Smoak went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk a 4-3 win over the Yankees on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Smoak's go-ahead bomb in the top of the seventh inning held up as the difference as the Blue Jays rolled to a fifth consecutive win. The 32-year-old has been handling more of a part-time role in September, and that's unlikely to change over the season's final week while the impending free agent's future with the organization remains muddled.

Smoak will sit Wednesday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Smoak continues to alternate between starting and sitting, a pattern that has now gone on for 14 games. Rowdy Tellez will be the first baseman Wednesday, with Vladimir Guerrero serving as the designated hitter.
