Wilson was reassigned to the Tigers' minor league camp Friday, MLive.com's Chris Iott reports. Wilson was battling Andrew Romine and Hernan Perez for one of the two available utility infield spots, but didn't have a strong enough camp to warrant an addition to the 40-man roster. The end of the line could be nearing for the 34-year-old Wilson, who hit a sickly .239/.271/.299 during his 24-game stint with the Rangers in 2014.

Wilson played in 24 games with the Rangers last season, batting .239/.271/.299 with eight RBI and seven runs scored in 67 at-bats. He will add some depth for the Tigers in the infield, and could be called up at some point as a utility infielder.

The Rangers chose Wilson's defense to Murphy's offense today, then got the best of both worlds with him coming up with a big hit early. It's a disappointing start to those who grabbed Murphy in AL-only leagues. Wilson will play if he hits.
