Jordan Zimmermann Takes Loss Versus Royals rotoballer.com Tue 7/24/18 7:36 PM

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann was saddled with the loss on Tuesday night against the Kansas City Royals, allowing four earned runs on seven hits over five innings. He struck out four and walked just one, but this was a rough outing for the 32-year-old as he threw just 59 of his 84 pitches for strikes. Zimmermann had made three very quality starts in a row prior to this dud, allowing just two earned runs over his last 20 innings. For the season, he has a 4-2 record, 3.97 ERA,[...]

Week 16 Waiver Wire: H2H Category Streamers rotoballer.com Fri 7/20/18 8:11 AM

I like to consider myself a pioneer of the streaming approach. I won a league about seven years ago completely ignoring saves and just stacking up the starts each week. While streaming is undoubtedly more directly associated with pitching, there's plenty of value in streaming for offense as well. Maybe you have a stacked roster and you can't drop anyone. But for those of us with a couple of guys on the roster fringes, it's never too early to look into targeting a specific player or two to gai[...]

Jordan Zimmermann Strikes Out 11 In Victory rotoballer.com Sat 7/7/18 5:45 AM

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann spun a gem on Friday, firing eight innings of one-run ball and striking out 11 to lead the Tigers to a win over the Texas Rangers. He issued no walks in the contest, and scattered just four hits. Zimmermann's stock is on the rise as we head into the All Star Break, as he has allowed just five runs in 25 innings of work since returning from the disabled list with a right shoulder impingement. The veteran now owns a 3.51 ERA on the year and is 4-0[...]

The dog days of summer are upon us - at least in the fantasy baseball world. There's plenty of help out there on the waiver wire and it all starts by identifying players of interest and tracking their progress. If you've been following along with this column all season, you would have been [...]

Jordan Zimmermann Looks To Keep Rolling rotoballer.com Fri 7/6/18 5:30 AM

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann will take the hill Friday against the Rangers, and will look to build on his strong outing in his last start. Sunday against the Blue Jays, Zim allowed just one run in seven innings of work to help snap an 11-game skid. Current Rangers batters have just 21 career at-bats against Zimmermann, but have just three hits against him. For his part, Zimmermann is 3-0 with a 2.65 ERA in his last seven starts.
