Segura went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts before being ejected from Monday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder didn't like the called third strike on his final at-bat of the night and slammed his helmet down in frustration, resulting in the ejection. Segura is slashing .160/.222/.200 over his last 15 games, and per Christina De Nicola of MLB.com, he could get some time off soon to clear his head and work on his swing. "He wants to play and try to get out of it," manager Skip Schumaker said Monday. "Sometimes, guys need a couple days of work, sometimes guys want to keep playing and get through it. There's obviously been conversation on both sides of it. We talk to each player every day about how they feel."

Segura went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran infielder lined a two-out single up the middle in the second inning, then promptly swiped his first bag of the season. Segura stole 13 bases in 19 attempts last season, and the 33-year-old could be a player who benefits from MLB's rule changes to boost the running game, but first he'll need to start getting on base more frequently -- he's just 2-for-18 (.111) at the plate through the first five games of the year.

Segura is out of the lineup for Sunday's contest against the Mets, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Segura will begin the series finale against New York on the bench while Jon Berti gets the hot-corner assignment and hits seventh. The 33-year-old veteran infielder has picked up one hit in his 12 plate appearances over his first three games as a member of the Marlins.

Segura went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in Friday's split-squad game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins have gotten a number of players back from the WBC in the last couple days, including Segura, and the veteran infielder quickly showed he hadn't lost any ground in his preparations during his time away from camp. Segura got the start at third base and hit leadoff, a spot in the batting order he might occupy when games begin to count as his on-base skills were a big reason why Miami signed him. The 33-year-old hasn't posted an OBP below .336 over a full season since 2015.
