McGee notched the save Friday against the Phillies after tossing a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit.
EDGE Analysis
McGee tossed eight of his 11 pitches for strikes and was in complete command of the strike zone, though he still allowed a two-out single to Andrew McCutchen before closing things out following a Brad Miller groundout. The southpaw hasn't given up an earned run in seven straight games and has gone 14-for-16 in save chances this season.

McGee struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to earn a save over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
McGee needed just nine pitches to make quick work of the Diamondbacks and finish off the 5-2 victory. He's now converted 13 of 15 save chances this season and owns a 3.49 ERA. He's yet to be charged with an earned run in June.

McGee (2-2) won Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against Washington, striking out three in a clean seventh in a 2-1 San Francisco triumph.
EDGE Analysis
McGee entered a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the seventh, striking out all three Nationals to send the game to extras, and was put in line for the win after San Francisco plated two runs in the top of the eighth. McGee and Tyler Rogers have shared the closer role since May, which has actually served McGee well (aside from less save opportunities) as he's only allowed one earned run over his last 9.2 innings.

McGee allowed an unearned run on a single and a walk in 0.2 innings and was credited with the loss in Wednesday's 4-3, extra-innings loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty was a casualty of the extra-innings rule, as he recorded two outs, intentionally walked Isiah Kiner-Falefa then yielded a walk-off single to Brock Holt. The run was unearned, so McGee has now given up just one earned run in his last 8.2 innings dating back to May 18. Although McGee has been usurped by Tyler Rogers for most of the Giants' save opportunities, he remains a top high-leverage option for his team and has maintained his fantasy value by recording plenty of holds.

McGee allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit while striking out two, securing the save in the win over the Dodgers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't a clean outing for McGee, as he surrendered a two-run home run to Albert Pujols with one out in the ninth inning. Despite allowing the tying run to come to the plate, McGee was able to retire the final two batters for the save. The 34-year-old's 12 saves is tied for fourth in all of baseball. His ERA jumped to 4.37 and he has a 11.5 K/9. Tyler Rogers has been the better reliever lately, and has taken some saves away from McGee.

McGee pitched a perfect eighth inning to earn a hold in Wednesday's 5-4 win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday was his first appearance since May 19, when he logged a hold versus Cincinnati. While San Francisco hasn't seen many save opportunities lately after going 3-3 with two blowout wins in the last week, McGee has been used in the eighth inning in close games lately. Tyler Rogers loaded the bases but escaped the jam in the ninth Wednesday -- while he may be the favorite for saves currently, McGee remains in the mix as manager Gabe Kapler takes a committee approach to the closer role.

McGee pitched a perfect eighth inning with no strikeouts to earn a hold in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
This was the southpaw's first hold of the year, as he successfully protected a one-run lead. Buster Posey's three-run double in the ninth inning meant there was no save situation when Tyler Rogers entered the contest. McGee has been San Francisco's closer for the first quarter of the season, but his shaky pitching in the last week has meant more ninth-inning chances for Rogers. It's unclear if the duo of relievers will be utilized on a game-by-game basis or if Rogers has surpassed McGee for the closing job -- this is a bullpen situation to monitor in the near term.

McGee didn't allow a baserunner during a scoreless ninth inning to record the save during Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Reds. He did not record a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old made quick work of Cincinnati and retired the side in order on nine pitches. McGee has been up-and-down this season with a 4.82 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 26 K:BB over 18.2 innings, though he's converted 11 of 13 save chances.

McGee (1-1) allowed two runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning to take the loss Saturday versus Pittsburgh. He struck out none.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old entered the game with the score tied at 6-6, but he struggled to maintain control. Jacob Stallings completed Pittsburgh's comeback with a two-run home run. McGee had pitched four straight scoreless innings entering Saturday. The southpaw now has a 5.09 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 26:4 K:BB across 17.2 innings while going 10-for-12 in save chances this season.

McGee blew his second save of the season after allowing an inherited runner to score in Friday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Pirates. He did manage to strike out the side after allowing the base hit upon entering the game in the ninth.
EDGE Analysis
McGee entered in the ninth with runners on the corners after Kevin Gausman allowed consecutive singles to open up the frame. The 35-year-old immediately gave up a game-tying RBI single to Bryan Reynolds before punching out the next three hitters and sending the game into extra innings. The left-hander now owns a 4.24 ERA and 1.12 WHIP but is tied for third in baseball with 10 saves and has an impressive 26:4 K:BB over 17 innings.
