Young was DFA'd by the Orioles on Wednesday, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. The move clears a spot for Tyler Wilson, who was recalled from Triple-A on Wednesday. Young was hitting a solid .270 on the season, but he had just eight extra-base hits in 174 at-bats. The veteran outfielder will be subject to waivers and is likely to wind up at Triple-A.
