Yankees signed RHP Heath Bell to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Bell posted a 4.22 ERA over 10 Triple-A appearances for the Orioles before opting out of his contract because he was told a promotion wasn't imminent. He likely has a similar deal worked out with the Yankees. Bell could very well find his way back onto the big league roster, but his days of fantasy relevance are surely over.
