Yankees reassigned OF Matt Diaz to minor league camp. The writing was on the wall following the additions of Ben Francisco and Brennan Boesch. Diaz, 35, batted just .192/.250/.192 with no extra-base hits in Grapefruit League play to seal his fate. The veteran outfielder has the option of opting out of his contract, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he wound up taking it.
