He has shown very good control over the course of the season, giving up just 2.37 BB/9 which has helped limit base runners. However, in his last major league season (2015) the 34-year-old found very little success, owning a 5.80 ERA and 1.61 WHIP through 121 innings pitched in a combined role as a starter and reliever for the Phillies.
