Wilhelmsen agreed to a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Wilhelmsen, who was released by the Diamondbacks on Monday after posting a 4.44 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 17:12 K:BB through 26.1 innings this season, is expected to report to Triple-A Colorado Springs later this week. The 33-year-old could find himself back in the majors relatively soon given Milwaukee's ongoing bullpen struggles; they rank last in the majors with 19 losses and their 1.46 WHIP is the third-worst mark in the league.
