White Sox sent LHP David Purcey outright to Triple-A Charlotte. He's now off the 40-man roster, clearing a little more room for the arrival of Jose Abreu. Purcey's 2013 season ended early due to a strain of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow, but he's going to try to rehab the injury.
