White Sox purchased the contract of LHP David Purcey from Triple-A Charlotte. Purcey hasn't appeared in the majors since 2011. He had a strong 3.03 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 43/12 K/BB ratio through 38 2/3 innings of relief this year at Triple-A.
